Just an update on the way I see it. Pluses I really feel I am sitting in a cockpit and I can sense the way the plane is moving. Better for situational awareness Minuses Much harder to spot aircraft/ground targets That might improve a bit when I get my lenses sorted. Very hard to check six, due to your head can only turn so far and limited FOV You need to use VoiceAttack as it is very hard to use a keyboard unless you can touch type. I use this for nav/landing/cockpit lights, open map, toggle icons/hud, open/close canopy, and logging into a server when I know the pass word, although you need to have TS on push to talk. On the whole I am really impressed and when the field of vision and resolution improves it will be amazing. PS its harder to drink beer

I really really MUST get set up for this, however I doubt if I could do more than an odd night now and then. I do have FC3 A10C P51 Fw190 Spit and I am eligible for another WW2 plane and the Normandy map due to falling for Luthiers promise I am also sort of interested in the F-14 and carrier stuff but as Homer Simpson said "when I learn some new stuff it pushes some old stuff out of my brain."

Thanks for the mission last night Arthur. I have just set up Voice attack to log me in to the servers when I want to join A lot easier than taking the Rift off and trying to see which key I am pressing without my glasses on.

Was my TS too loud last night? I had to change the mike input to the rift and as when I am using the rift I cant see/adjust the TS levels.

I think it would be a good idea to decide if mods will be on for squad nights.

Just a thought, can people who own BoS fly as a gunner in an A-20 Kuban mission? Yes its not as good, but if you can be a gunner for planes you dont own then that can help open up the planeset when hosting/building missions.

Thanks for the help FT. The mission felt fantastic using VR and the views when we were flying out made it seem very real. I will be going for an eye test soon and when I get the results I will order a new set of lens as the view is a blurred as the real world looks
