How many new players have joined in the past 2 years? I can only think of Wingflyer. How many flew last night?

In the context of the post I meant very sad. It is the number of players who turn up that bothers me more than anything.

Look at the names on the first post, 32 available or wanted to fly 6 years ago we had lots of members who flew. It is a shame that it is a shadow of what it once was.

This ties in the the drop off on flying nights. 2011 50 new content 20ish flying 2017 25 new content and we seldom get more than 7 people turning up for coops.

I hate to make things even more complicated but how about putting them in your preferred order ie? 1 1946 2 clod 3 BoX 4 DCS Also even more importantly would you fly more if we change our main game?

@ Jabo There isnt a trial version available and the only way to see it is via Youtube or purchase. Coop mode will be here from what I can gather when Kuban is released, maybe Arthur has better info

Maybe have a poll? We can then evaluate the different strength and weakness of each of the choices.

I think the long term future is BoX as it is constantly being improved, coops are coming, you do not need to have all versions to fly on all maps, and carrier ops might be in beta this time next year. Clod TF 5.0 will be great but it is very slow in arriving. DCS seems to be, for me at any rate, a study dogfight sim. Great for modern stuff but limited WW2 possibilities. I know that some of us would prefer not to have to update their computers to fly with us but the cash per hour is quite inexpensive and an upgrade wouldnt hurt HSFX either

I found this on the ED forum. It will combine joystick/pedals etc into a combined controller which will allow you to use more than 4 controllers in HSFX. http://whitemagic.github.io/JoystickGremlin/

I am still playing around with the settings., I cant find the pitch settings are they the RPM setting and can that be on a slider? I am quite enjoying it so far but I find the airfields are hard to spot

Just had a play in the P-40 and I like it although I will have to spend a lot of time setting up the TrackIR/view set up.

@ Jabo, I am sure that there will be another one along in a few minutes And it does appear that I cant map my flaps to a rotory even though it acknowledges that I have bound flaps to joy0 X axis

Any way of getting the flaps on a rotary? Also HUD settings what is best?

I weakened. I dont seem to be able to select external view even though its set to F2 I want to check the flaps work on the rotorary.

What map is that Arthur? I bet Swep would like it

I enjoyed the mission. Even though I lost Sid and Painless on the first strike I did find my way to the target, get hits and made my way back home. I think the biggest issue is the number of pilots required to make it work well. I like the idea of a carrier battle but the damage modeling makes taking out a carrier very difficult. It was deck/hanger fires that got the Japanese at Midway hours after the attack. If the target was cargo ships then you could use historic plane sets as the Val can only use small bombs.

It is looking very positive This sim to me is looking like the way forward, and once coop mode is working and we have some missions we will be able to invite new players into our pack
