I have been asked by someone to help her daughter who is at Uni to put a site togther to display her photographs. I am not sure yet how many pictures are involved but she is looking to use it professionally. I have been looking at a site that will do a 1kgb with a free domain name for $35 per year (year 2 onwards) which I did not think was too bad. Can anyone reccomemned a good web host that is either free or very cheap. I have been trying to use zymic.com but have been finding it very hit and miss as to the way it runs.

Ok, following my leaving work and me taking my PC with me, I now have a little dilemour. I have made it the main PC (the on which I fly) and have now installed the sound and graphics cards. It has the same CPU as my old Dell (2.80GHz) but has slightly more memory at1.5gb as opposed to the 1gb in the Dell. This machine, a HP d330 uT(P133T), running xp pro sp2, has the ability to take a maximum of 4gb of memory where as the Dell was maxed out at 1gb. I am using the same 17" CRT monitor and run at 600x800 resolution Now my question is.... Should I spend approx £45 pounds on expanding the PC3200 memory (which has to be done with matched pairs, the current slots are taken with 2x512 and 2x256),with 2x1gb to replace the 2x256, to 3gb or should I do something with the graphics card which is a Geforce 6800 with 128mb of on board memory. I cant do both and cant spend much more than £50-60 pounds. Any offers on what would give the best improvment per pound?

Perhaps a "Doh!" type question but is it ok to use a usb2 extention cable when connecting to a usb1 cable. I am preparing to move my stuff over to a "new" computer and want to extend by trackir cable. Cheers Friar Edit By Friar:

Found what it was I was doing wrong. I was reducing the size of the circle around the base to a size that was too small. When I leave it at the default diameter, it works. Thats one for the memory banks! LOL Cheers and thanks again. Friar

Ok, sorted. I deleted everything i had had done and started again. I put in test runway 4 and then assigned a home base to it and set up the required aircraft. i then started up a dogfight map, job done. so i dont know what i was doing wrong before. Many thanks Friar

Jim, the desert map you sometimes use for the dogfight session has an airstart for the northern blue base by the coast. how is that set up in the fmb please?

I thought that for a dogfight map you need to define the home bases so that the players click on them when signing in, and then select one if the aircraft available to it. Is that not the case? do you just need to define the airbase colour? How then do you define the planes available to that airfield if the list is retricted. if so then i have been a numpty on this one

For your dogfight map, did you define the home base and the plane list available to it? and if so how did you then provide waypoints for the aitcraft. I really dont know/understand how you can. Did you then fire up your map as an actual dogfight server map and was the base/choice of plane selectable ? Cheers Friar

As it our want, during a quiet moment tonight on ts, talk turned to drink, no change there I hear you say, and I got to wondering, if we should not declare an Official Dangerdogz Cocktail. So its over to you guys for a suggested recipie. A few suggestions have been put forward, more in the way of decoration actually. It was suggested that it have an unbrella and sparkler for Painless, as to its drink elements what do you think. Once we have decided on the recipie perhaps we could have a dogz tasting session.
