  1. Sounds (pun intended) like a lot of fun. Tell your downstairs neighbours that what they are hearing is your pet Danger Dog and sometimes it gets loose and, well, you'd rather not go into all the details but this is the 17th place you've had to move to this year. They shouldn't complain at all. No. And just about the time your rig can play FB/PF decently. . . .BoB will come out and we'll all have to start all over again.
  2. Attention TFT users! I'm looking to upgrade my monitor as two CRT's have failed in as many weeks. I'm looking for a 19" screen, excellent color & color management, (I skin so I need highly accurate colors). but I am concerned about "ghosting". What brand of TFT are you using? What is the response time? What is the native resolution? What kind of FPS are you getting in game with that resolution? Would you buy another one if this one died or you were upgrading to a larger screen? Thanks in advance.
  3. I don't want to be laughed at (more than usual), so I'm not telling. Rattler, go ahead and post it. then we can be in awe of how well you do with your rig and how badly we do with our ultra-uber rigs. Remember, it the man not the plane.
  4. That's very nice! (I apologize to the HellHounds for my shoddy work by comparison)
  5. Rig Specs: CPU: Intel Pentium 4/3.2 GHz/800Mz FSB/Hyperthreading RAM: 2 GB Samsung 2700 PC Video: ATI 9800 XT/Cat 6.1 Drivers PSU: 500 W Audio: Audigey 2 OS: XP Pro 4 fans, 2 80MM/2 120mm. Sounds like a Hoover but can exchange interior air in less than 2 seconds. Monitor: Needed badly. Currently using my wifes NEC FE991SB after mine lost Vertical Sync and my 17" CTL standby gave up the ghost. Her monitor has weak colorguns so the picture is all wonky. either too dark or too washed out with a tint of magenta all the time.
  6. I have one in the works called "Walls of Jericho". It's a Single Player but i will modify it for co-op. Look for it around mid-week. (2/22 or 23).
  7. And all this time I thought a Quid was a 10 legged sea creature that attacked whales and helpless people in bad Jaws remakes.
  8. You've done an outstanding job so far Roger. Keep up the great work. Don't be afraid to ask for help from the HH. We'll be more than happy to help in any way possilbe. ~S~ !
  9. Interesting looking institution your residing in Rattler. You don't look happy. Meds late?
  10. That's only 3. Unless 'and' starts with an 'f'. My motto.......................that was meant to be a reference to the fact taht we all dogs, not cats. That's all I meant by "...We're No Pussys". I heard you were mortified by that.
  11. HellHounds & Danger Dogz, We're No Pussys! - or - Danger Dogz & HellHounds, We're No Pussys!
  12. Another Bassist here. I've bee playing music continuously from 1971 until 2004 when things began to slow down. Mostly me LOL! I don't play as much as before. Prior to that (and during) I did sound for bar bands that traveled the Northwest circuit and have had the honor to mix for The Leslie West Band (post Mountain) and Bobby "Blues" Bland. Bobby Bland hired me to mix for him on the West Coast leg of his US tour in 1972. I also spent 6 months in New York City doing session work and got to meet several "big names", including Hall and Oates, Madonna (before she was famous), Dave Allen of Gang Of Four and Etta James. For instruments I have a 1972 Fender Precision with, according to the Serial Number stamped on the neck, one of the last Pre-CBS fretted maple neck. No maple fingerboard over a maple neck but frets right in the neck. Also I have a 5 String Fender/Precision body fitted with Jazz Bass pickups, a Danelectro single pickup bass from the early '60 with the masonite sandwich body, a Danelectro Longhorn re-issue bass, a 1970 Fender Mustang guitar that's Candy Apple red w/matching headstock and white racing stripe, and a shocking pink Fender Stratocaster w/Floyd Rose whammy and no pickguard. One of 200 made. I have been offed as much as $2000 for it. I play through a GK 200 watt head but primarily through a 400 watt Hartke head coupled to a variety of custom enclosures ranging from a stereo pair of 10"ers, a pair of single 15"ers, and an 18"er. I just assemble the right setup for the size of room and type of music I'm playing. I've played everything from straight up Chicago style blues to Country Swing to Punk to Jazz. I even played in an experimental band that NEVER played the same song twice..........and they were all originals, made up on the spot. Sounds like a jam band? No, Clive Davis of Capitol Records expressed an interest in us when he saw us open for a local band on the rise. He talked with us more than them. (they hated us after that, felt we robbed them of the "Big Time"). But since we couldn't/wouldn't go on tour and support any album we made, (becuase we NEVER played the same song twice) Capitol decided we didn't have "Commercial Potential". Music now is mostly original alt/pop with the ocassional tasty cover. Newest project is all instrumental band, no vocals, with me doubling on both bass and my Korg workstation synth. My studio consists of a 4-Track Teac recorder and a bizillion sound modifiers, EQ's/Compressors/Effects Racks/Optimisers into both the Teac 4-Trk and a digital recorder. As soon as I can afford it I'm building a music computer that will be solely dedicated to recording/mastering/manufacturing CD's. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
  13. Me on a day trip to the Oregon Coast.
  14. Just tried all the new planes in the QMB. They are all awesome so far. Didn't do speed or altitude tests. Just "quick fun-factor" tests. Highlights: New P-47 Nothing real new. Will require serious testing to see if there are any real advantages/disadvantages. MC-200: A G-50 with more punch. |Engine dies if you nose down too fast. (Typical Italian plane) MC-202/205 Series: Interesting fighter. Some have better armament than others. The 205 packs a solid punch. J2M: This little Japanese fighter takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin' and packs some serious punch. Downed a B-29 without running out of ammo. (and you all know what a bad shot I am). Do335: Wicked, wicked plane. Moderate punch as a fighter, carries serious bomb tonnage, fun to fly. Now the "Beauty Planes".............. Spitfire 25lb: ( what does 25lb mean? ) Blairgowrie might be able to give you a better impression. It's a Spit. I didn't notice anything real different. Can carry three bombs, 1-500 and 2-250 pounders. New 109K4: I'm no LW flyer, maybve Emann can give a better review. Usual loadouts, 108 cannon and 151 gunpods. Usual heavy hitter. Ju-88: What fun. It's a bomber, be sure. Stalls easily during sharp turns. Carries vaired load. You can drop each of the 28 SC50's individually. Great cockpit, good view. There's a copilot seat. don't know what it's for as the next toggle to seat position puts you at the gun directly in front of the co-pilot. (Didn't try bombsight controls though. that might be what you do there.) Gun positions don't allow you to see the gunsight pipper at all angles. Spray and pray time I guess. This will be a fun plane to learn. Tempest: New uber plane. I took out two He-111's set to Veteren with one burst. Did my first 3-point landing. Fast, deadly, a great addition! Mosquito: This will be like learning to fly the Beaufighter all over again. Kind of "heavy" on the controls. Fast, handles OK given the above. bombs only loadout, no rockets/torpedos. :x These are quick impressions. I'm sure all of you will have different experiences. But, I think this is an excellent all around package. Now to see the new Objects in the FMB. That Norwegian hanger looks mighty cool though.
  15. I too chose the bucklet. I'd like a room with a view please.
  16. Thanks Angus. It takes less time than you think once familiar with the FMB.
  17. All right! So here are a few of mine, some seldom seen, some never seen before: Leaving Templof/1941 Homeward Bound An unretouched screenshot from my co-op mission "Triad" Balaton Air Defences/1941 House Call Making Field Modifications to an IL-2 Martin Flying Boat Made by special request from the H8K Emily Hope you enjoyed them.
  18. WOW! This is so cool! thanks for all your work. It's nice to have a place to call home! ~S~ to all Danger Dogz and Hell Hounds.
