CaptJackG
I have a new monitor that is DVI and also HDMI able and my video card can also do either. Anyone know if there is a difference in monitor performance between the 2 sources?
Snacko
I think HDMI is supposed to be better, but not sure. It's what I use.

2. Administrators Jabo Posted January 26, 2011 2. Administrators Share Posted January 26, 2011 I don't think there's a lot to choose between them Jack, both are a digital signal and are cross-compatible to an extent. Did you get a DVI lead with the monitor? If so, I'd use that and save the money on an HDMI lead. Unlike blu-ray players etc, I think you'll find an HDMI output from a graphics card does not supply the audio component (it's certainly that way on laptops).
