Sweper
Since Sid and Painless is "in the buisness" I like to show some pics from when our employees had a day of education in fire extinguish practice. How to help in a car accident. ABC: Breathing - Bleeding - Shock and HLR: Heart - Lungs - Rescue. We had theoretical and practical practice both outside and inside. In one situation we were three in each group and they had arranged a situation with three cars, one upside-down, lots of fire and live firemen (helping us) as hurt passangers, inside the cars. Unfortuanatly the last situation was pretty chaotic so I forgot to take pictures. All theoretical showing pictuers and films from real situations. The bloke to the left working as a fire chef/leader and is also managing director on my job. Differet types of extinguishers that we used to put out fire in a bowl filled with burning liquid. First set on fire with a torch. Pretty windy.. Special blanket for choking fires. Inside again and practicing Heart and Lung rescue. After all finished we had a walk around at the fire station showing all equipment and vehicles used.

1. DDz Quorum Painless Posted May 13, 2010 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted May 13, 2010 ~S~ Sweper M8, Very nice pics and VERY nice equipment The Swedish fire service is renowned for being well ahead of most countries in both proceedures and kit. Your positive pressure aggressive ventilation techniques are superb and we all have plenty to learn from your guys ! I see the "triangle of fire" is up on the board in the lecture room, you know it should be the "square of fire" .......fuel, heat, oxygen, an officer...... take any ONE away and the fire goes out !!! Nice post M8. ~S~ Painless
