Remember Laugh-In?

The older guys here (most of us?) might recall Dan Rowan of "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In" from the late 1960s. I just learned that Rowan was a P-40 pilot and is credited with two Zekes. He was later shot down and sustained serious injuries, finishing the war with a number of decorations:
