I am having some problems with my mic, I can hear OK but no-one can hear me (a blessing for some I know) but maybe mid week someone might help?

Probably best to let someone into your computer with Ultra VNC or Show my PC. There are quite a few things that need to be checked and this might be the easiest way.

this happens to me often Zooly (usually if I have left the speakers plugged in for a long time or if I hit 'reset' in my Creative files.

The one thing I always have to do is controls panel, sound and audio devices, voice, test hardware.

for some reason this seems to reset the microphone.

If what JensenPark says doesn't work.

You need to go into mic advance properties,a nd click 1 Microphone +20db boost.

This is why I often come in and sound quit For some reason mine won't stay checked anymore.

Zooly, do I remember correctly that you have a Realtek Soundcard?

When I try the test mode in TS it sounds a little quiet but with some low level white noise it also echoes.

If so I can get on TS and messenger and remote desk top and take a look for ya.
