...for punishment.

I've installed Windows 7 RC, got the PC to dual boot it with Vista (In Vista at present), but my McAfee Anti-Virus won't work with Win7 - I'm getting an 'unsupported' error. Any suggestions as to what to use. Preferably FOC if possible. Everything else seems to work including my wifi card and trackir. X52 is now on the supported hardware list!

FWIW I think Win 7 looks similar to Vista, but certainly seems a bit snappier. Still stuck with 3.25GB out of my installed 4GB of mem in the 32bit version though.

I've got Avira which I want to try with 7, I'll let you know how it goes!

Done some more reading, and Server 2008 and Windows 7 do share the same code base, I had thought 2008 was based on Vista but the more I read on Microsoft Technet the more I realise I don't know!

I installed it on Win7 64bit, it runs.

(I haven't tried letting any viruses on it though...yet... :drunken_smilie:)

Ditto on 7 x86 beta now, waiting for time to reformat and put RC1 on the laptop..which is my SqueezeCenter music server...
