That is the biggest problem with forums, when you get plagued with bots advertising XXX sites and male impotence medicines etc. I don't mind the XXX ones but I now have enough Viagra to keep an elephant happy for thirty years (male or female . Remember we are all mods, if you see a user abusing these forums then deal with it accordingly, or email/PM me and I'll do it! For now I don't want to close the forums to outsiders, I can however make it so any new users need to be activated by myself or Sloan....any thoughts any one? At first I thought the topic was about a proxy checker, and with that in mind, Dazza's post made no frickin' sense. This is exactly what was done at most every forum I've ever been a moderator of. Still allows anyone to register, but requires a human being to authenticate and approve the membership. Do hafta kinda stay on top of your e-mails though......the internet crowd is a fickle bunch, and do not like to wait long at all for anything... Yer call though..
