  1. Nice! (Looking at this video, DCS seems closer than GBS ... )
  2. (BTW, I tried it, shot down all of the luftwaffles, picked up the entire crew of a channel ditched bomber, landed in France, took off and brought me back the coolest nicest French farmer's daughter you can come across, she speaks English ánd Dutch ... )
  3. So, yeah, the Stable version on our server is being updated. For the channel map. No need to buy it. It's just a command that must be executed: DCS_Updater.exe install THECHANNEL_terrain For future reference, here's a link to a table of like all DCS modules, with their names in it: Modules! (And the thing I did buy back then, that I never did not need to not buy was the Normandy Map + Asset pack ... )
  4. We demand nothing from anyone! It was an oversight, and it has been fixed now...
  5. Then set whisper to commanders individually. But the swapping roles is more complex, if we include swapping commander roles that is... Or use it like we use in P38 campaign (Commanders whisper to channel)- but then communications between commanders must be very brief and to the point. Hm....
  6. Worth a try for sure! (Indeed it needs separate TS channels... though for me it adds to the fun to hear what others are experiencing in game, whilst in action - gonna miss that! ... )
  7. I've got an unconditioned 980Ti you can buy Mick - it's a snip at £550 £450 !!
  8. Why would they even want to "stop it"? Online stores can stop it. May cost them some money, but it is possible ... I'm sure they can be creative and find a way around them bots if they really want to. Oh well... we're all doomed!
  9. Wow... missed that one... Good on you to mention it happening, good on us to suggest a remedy, and good that it worked out! TeamWork!
  10. While it is possible to transfer everything, Windows and GBS and DCS, I'd rather install all from fresh - on a new system. After installing it, copy the relevant files/folders with settings over. (Though there's a chance your game controllers on the new motherboard's USB ports may require some extra attention ... not sure. Partitions? One could argue to have Windows on C:-drive, and the rest somewhere else. I have that. But not sure why. Sure, if one needs to re-install Windows, it might make it easier to only format C:-Drive and leave the rest alone. Still, one might need to re-install the rest... I dunno. Downside of multiple partitions/drives is that you have multiple drives that may run out of free space!
  11. Well, Matthew must be an expert on slow internets... his reply took 8 years to get here!
  12. Question: I do have Tank Crew, but can I still use the 'Free Tank' option you mentioned for this event? And if so, do I get a temporary refund? Or some compensation at least?
  13. Cools, so I am not the only one! (These have been there for ages on my system)
  14. Yeah, I can see it clearly already, you taking notes ... and I'm disappearing on the horizon ... or around the next bend, or over the hill, or ...
  15. I can try and test - if you can provide a basic mission with the spawn point that is? A shared drive on a Friday (or whatever evening) would/could work for me as well. To do a shared session might even be more practical. Like, what you gonna do should your tank flip on its side?
  16. Wait, you want us to drive through yellow snow??
  17. Do we have a hilly area with roads and towns somewhere else on the map? hm... not likely me thinks...
  18. Wow ... googling the error I get the idea it's like a last resort message - something went wrong. Solutions mentioned were to disable windows' fastboot, replace burnt power cables, change windows power settings... links to youtube videos... could be old driver, or bad driver for graphics card... Not sure, but you may need to use google yourself, and slowly check option by option - whether it could be a relevant solution for you. It does sound to like some failing power-save-procedure; 30 minutes in something happens, where Windows or the card switches the signal to the monitor to off where it should not... I dunno. Maybe first check the current video driver, download and install the latest version. Check windows' power save settings for monitor... open up the case, and check the cabling whether everything is connected nicely ...
  19. Me was Red 4 on my first 402nd mission. Red 3 gifted me a 262 kill (Thanks Jabo!), and later dropped bombs on the ground where enemy stuff (artillery guns) was at. BOOM. Cools. Thanks Chris, good show leading our pack!
  20. (Heard there was a big fight in Stalag Luft 13a, Maj. Kendall Bozeman had a 'discussion' with 2nd Lt. Dennis Falcon, as the latter stole the former's kill!)
  21. Well... Took off, headed out. Intercepted three Transport planes after SnowDrop called in for assistance. We shot them down. Headed south to complete patrol, then back North. At the point of egress home, decided to make one more patrol circle. Zenith called bandits from heading towards us, from the north. At that point, White 1 and 2 collided. (Blubear and Zukker) Both got killed. Whilst attacking the 109s, Red 3 (Jabo) suffered loss of control due to compression. Red 1 (FT) got hammered by a head on 109 - on fire, baled out. Red 2 (Wingflyr) suffered black out symptoms, and crash landed right on the frontline. And then he woke up. So, yeah, best forget this one fast!
