    Yeah, something is very screwy about those gun ports, I thought there should only be one of them and it should be where the newer grey part is, which leaves the weathered original gun port a bit of a mystery.

    You can see just how good a job he did of setting his aircraft down, that airport is seriously limiting for options, it's actually quite a scary sight when you look at the aerial picture of that airfield surrounded by a sea of suburb, I don't think I'd like to get in and out of there with anything less than 2 engines.

    No it's a game engine called Outerra Anteworld, I linked the forum site in the post above, I have it and have created a model for it.

    it is a simulation/game engine being developed for military/commercial applications but is available to the public, kind of interesting to mess around with, there is a free demo but to buy it is only $15 or thereabouts. forum http://forum.outerra.com/index.php

    Just checked it out in the oculus, my spine literally tingled and my nipples went stiff.....too much information I know but I'm not even joking, I started from cold, flew a beat up of the field and came in for a god awful landing which I aborted and tried again, got down and went all over the place, apart from scraped wing tips I got away with it.

    Kurfurst and now Crumpp ( registered and posted today) are at the ED forums, no doubt both offering their services frantically I order to change world history.

    I think it looks great Arthur, the feeling of flight is smoke and mirrors in my opinion though so as you say an illusion, for me it is the least realistic of any but slightly better than Legacy IL2, runs great on my machine, I upgraded recently with i7, GTX970, CloD and DCS run amazingly well too.

    indeed, I was really holding out for BOS to finally implement Oculus support but they shafted me there too.

    Flame war......no flame war, it doesn't matter in my case, it happens simply because of my personal opinion on the state of the game.

    it seems to have become a sport for the moderators there, got 2 bans yesterday, 1 because bearcat threw a hissy fit and went on a mass banning rage then another mod banned me for a month for getting banned........I kid you not.
