do you have sound still in your stock version of il2. if not check your sound settings in windows and check the main volume hasn't been muted.

before you install ultrapack over the top of your 4.10.1 install, make sure you back up your il2 1946 folder. Install UP on that version.

as you surmise, 0=1, 1=2 etc..... with hyperthreading off you should only see 4 cores, 0,1,2,3. to be honest, your better looking at something like OCCT than the windows crud to look at this stuff.

it should be 4 cores with hyperthreading disabled and 8 with it enabled. Something else is the matter, check your bios that all four cores are enabled, as they can be individually disabled in bios. i7-920 defiantly has 4 cores. @propnut, i'd (and i have) disable hyperthreading. Jedis right, it does nothing for games, in fact from my testing it can actually cause a few micro stutters. Turn off in Bios.

Call of Duty blows these days. Its just a completely dumbed down shadow of its former versions, ported from a console for 12 year old boys. for WWII Red Orchestra 2 is the way to go. Battlefield 3 has to be a better option for modern warfare, simply because its not call of pants.

that part won't be a problem, board can do 16x 16x 1x or 16x 8x 8x across the 3 PCIex16 slots, and i'm running a single gpu (one slot). i do have 2 normal PCI slots as well(by normal, not express) basically if it fits into the express slot, no probs, but does it? yeah thats the other option, cause obviously HD is backward compatible to sata 2, but it never hurts to have quicker hd access, especially for bloody clod.

Hi guys, quick question, i'm getting a new hardrive, and am leaning towards this one, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-336-WD&groupid=1657&catid=1660&subcat=1665 however, this is Sata 3, and my motherboard is only sata 2, so i would need this, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CC-004-SR to get the full speed out of it. my problem and question is, my motherboards PCIexpress 4 slot is already filled by my soundcard, so will that fit in either of the 2 spare PCI express 16 slots? should do shouldn't it??

since they reworked all the anti-aircraft and artillery stuff in UP3.0, all the stuff which i have related to this including a few nice excel worksheets in now useless. basically, unless they've documented this over at ultrapack, no-one knows anymore. another example of well intentioned behaviour, which cocks up mission building, something that UP3 is riddled with.

Something that came up in conversation yesterday at the Red Lion, was in light of the successful DD excursion to France the year before after Duxford (I say successful, cause JP wasn't arrested), Who would be interested in a short invasion of the continent, for a tour around the First World War battlefields after Duxford? As more of us start to fly RoF, could be nice.
