Sid I'm using a Creative sound card, maybe the same as Fruity, Creative Found Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatali1y, came with a nice headset too. I'm running Windows 7, did have some problem at first, updated the drivers that Creative had on their site and put everything to Game Mode with default settings.
Sounds are fine but I doubt I know if they weren't.
Cheers Pook

I have been using a Creative SB X-Fi Gamer for over two years.
With Win7?
-
I like my top end creative sound card very very much, it sounds fantastic with my THX 5.1 speakers.
Works fine in win 7, have everything working including all software.
and what software you get, its brilliant for manipulating sound stuff.
Which card have you got Fruity?
-
Cheers Crash.
Jabo, there is no reason other than I have the cards here and am wondering if Creative have moved on with their Win7 support. After an hour looking on the net I'm not going to mess with the Audigy as it is clear that Creative haven't moved on. As to a new card that is Win7 compatible from the outset I would consider it if I knew the output would be significantly better than the Asus onboard I'm using now as I play movies and music on the pooter aswell as flying etc.

Cheers Crash. Which card are you using? I have an Audigy 4 model SB0610 for a PCIe slot available in my spares box.

Gents, has anyone got a Creative soundcard installed and running successfully on a Win7 system? I seem to remember FT saying he had done so.
I have some Soundblaster and Audigy 4 soundcards that I know didn't work a couple of years ago and, looking at the Creative driver's site, don't see anything new that convinces me to put one back in. I'm aware of some modded drivers that claim to work but I'm not interested.
There are a couple of new Soundblaster Recon3D cards http://www.scan.co.uk/products/creative-sound-blaster-recon3d-fatal1ty-professional-soundcard that are tempting me that are made as Win7 compatible, hence the question.

My main interests are coop missions especially those involving ground attack (something which I'm surprisingly good at).
Something you WERE surprisingly good at.....try them with the Dogz...more friendly columns destroyed than enemy!!
Welcome Miguel, have fun!

Now got a coat of flat clear to make the decals look painted on. Looking good.
Canopy is lovely and clear, photos don't do it justice because of the reflected light but the cockpit shows nicely
Weathering and staining next.....
-
Progressing nicely....
Masked and base coat painted, I put the 'Blu Tack' on to create the camo swirls.
Took the blutack off and
Pleased with the effect so I've 'glossed' it and put the decals on
Used Tamiya acrylic spray cans. Easy to use and very smooth finish.
Touching up to do and then a coat of flat clear before weathering.

Hmmm, thanks Friar. Their findings are 15 - 20 years behind everyone else regarding aeroplanes and spectators - the evidence has been out there and available. Earlier on the day of the crash I was very surprised when an F18 came from the right and flew along the crowd line right over the spectators grandstand - fantastic spectacle but, as we know, highly inappropriate in the UK and Europe.
Having said that, the experience of the event is like nothing else because of the way it is set up. I will be going again in a few years - hope it hasn't changed too much by then.

Really going to miss that North/South face to face banter.....
Look after yourselves, very best wishes to you, Debs and the family mate.

Superb mate!
I have attached the ntrk. It isn't the complete flight but has a lot of landing in it.

I was firtling around in the loft and found a box at the back that contained a few models I built years ago.
One is a 1/72 Vulcan, the other is a vacform 1/32 Hawker Hunter. They are a bit dusty and in need of some TLC but I hope to restore them to how they should be.
The Hunter is http://designer.home.xs4all.nl/models/hunter-32/hunter-e1.htm this kit.
These are some piccies before it went into storage.
