Mouse and Keyboard all the way Trib, it is a very good PC game.
What are it's aims? Will I get more satisfaction from it as opposed to getting involved in short tank battles because I really find World of Tanks easy to get into and use as an occasional?
change and stress releaser.....

Happy Birthday OT
Hope it's a good 'un!!

You can also do it for the arrestor hook....in the [Mods] section of your conf.ini add the line: SeparateHookUpDown=1
With this option, your Toggle Tailhook control only acts as Tailhook Down, and whatever key you assign to 'Magneto Next' is Tailhook Up.

Might buy one for myself as a retirement present..........oh...bugger, too late

They won't do us a group deal due to the airshow being on and they are charging a flat rate of £179 p/n which would be doable for me if sharing a room, but is way expensive otherwise.
These prices are a rip off and an embarrassment - ashamed to be English when git's like this capitalise on an event

Hi DT, glad to see you back and browsin' m8

Does anyone know what kind of powerplant pulls that IL-2?
Prolly a licence-built Allison
Kidding aside, I agree that one of a kind is very special - to the point of being unique...
I'll get my coat.
Jabo
Actually I'm led to believe it is in fact an original (reconditioned of course) AM-38.
Check the video again and you'll notice the cowlings all seem accurate to the type, plus the tell tale sign is the rotation of the propeller which is the opposite to an Allison.
I stand corrected, it is indeed Allison powered, and must have an opposite handed gearbox from a P-38 or summat. Whatever, it's a beauty!
It was restored in the same facility that recently brought the Mig-3 back to life and rumour has it that the IL-2 is set to join the Fw-190 at the Flying Heritage Collection stateside.
WHAT MIG 3? Where? Show me...NOW!!!
Ahhh....this MiG 3. Sounds Allison powered too

Laughed out loud.....caught me right. Nice one Papa

I kind of lost interest after the first beta and until the AA and multicore issues are sorted I'm going to be patient (which is really quite rare for me at least), I do have a quick blast maybe once a week in the forlorn hope I was wrong about the abortion that is SoW (ClOD is still a stoopid name).
Ditto Zooly. However, I haven't touched it for months.

Just saw it now Mick.
It still makes me a little uneasy
Especially since we were under it.
5 seconds mate...
There was one other clip I have seen. Taken from, I'd approximate 20-30 feet below and to the right of where we sat.
Not seen either of those. The impact on the first one still makes me jump...the second one shows just how close it was to us. There are many vids to see about it, but those are 2 of the clearest I've seen.
It is still very vivid in my mind, the sound of the impact as much as anything.

Sounds, and looks, like a great day was had
Thanks for sharing.

You don't really need the other things mr P, the Nvidia updater is just an auto updater, which is quite unnecessary. All you really need is the driver, which you have installed.
Quite right.
There is a way to ensure a completely fresh install, 'gis a call if you want to go through it.

You there?

Great start to the morning...lol.

Whip aerial...or any aerial. Have you ever 'stretched sprue'?
Not sure what it's called now, I always knew it as the sprue - it's the carrier that the parts you are using are cut from.
Take a length about 6" long. Hold both ends in your hands (one in each!!) and gently heat it over a flame/heat source eg. gas or electric hob, for a couple of seconds and, when you can see it start to droop, take it away from the heat source and slowly stretch it by moving your hands apart. Get it to the thickness you want and stop - it cools very quickly so practice a few times. Usually the 6" length of sprue has doubled in length and gives you a thin line of plastic that can be used as aerial wire, handles, cables etc. Secure in place at the end of building with a dab of super glue or resin.
Grey plastic is good as it looks the right colour.
Don't try this at home, children, WITHOUT adult supervision........'Matches, matches never touch....they can hurt you very much!'

Looks good so far, Nick! C - wing?
BTW - I just saw a link online for a 1/32 Typhoon in resin from a company in the UK for £70 and £10 shipping - I'm thinking about it........
Ooooo, oooooo - I just posed it to the missus, and she ok-ed it! Go figure! Ordering now.......
That's a nice kit Pete. I've never seen 1/32 wings cast as one before - the Typhoon is chunky so those are impressive castings.

Duxford one day? Can but dream.......

IF I can ever get fully patched up..... Seem to have a working RC4 now, but only 4 mods. Can I copy the mods over from my 2.01 install? And do I need to install the Dogfight server?
Only 4 mods is correct OT. When flying with us, enable 'UP RC4' ONLY, otherwise there could be issues.
Copying over Mods may be a bit fraught with complications due to compatibilities - no definitive answer I'm afraid. I have some additional mods in a '#UP#' folder that I created in the main folder - that's the way it's done in this UP.
No, you don't need to install the dogfight server. You, like most of us, are a 'client'.

MT: if we let the DDz RoF team grow, there may not be enough sheep to go around.
Let's be practical here.
Hey JP, so...
looks like we'll have to share the sheeps
There are competitions for that...oh no. sorry........that's sheep shearing
Welcome Navy, even if it is to the 'Splitters'

No OT, this is an unmodded game. It's the original disc game updated from 4.07 to 4.08m, 4.08m to 4.09m, 4.09m t0 4.10m and then 4.10m t0 4.101m. I'll find you a link........
This is in the Vault http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/511-il-2-megapatch4101m-enrar/ - it takes a new install straight up to 4.101m

I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise for the stupid comments I make after having had only one drink and the completely unnecessary burping after two drinks, whether it be during co-ops or when meeting face to face.........only I'm not going to apologise. I don't need to.
Being one of the Dogz means I can be the real me. Being one of the Dogz allows me to really relax, to chill and enjoy my favourite hobby in the company of friends that accept me as I am. I haven't enjoyed myself so much for years. Thank you for allowing me in.
Your advice and support have helped me and your courage and dogged determination have inspired me. A person's legacy, I really believe, is not measured by what they do - it's measured by how they make you feel when you think of them. I think of you as a gentleman, a comrade and a friend.

'Nuff said. I love the normal nights and don't want full switch but love the opportunity to have it on events such as North Africa to prevent inadvertant spotting of enemy aircraft and vehicles.
