  1. Heh heh. I have also been the inspiration for several episodes of South Park.....really.
  2. Holy cow....19 in flat screen jobs. Looks like I need to use my pay pal account again. Thanx for the link. I hadn't thougth of that. Just my luck I live in Taliban controlled Georgia in the southern US, isolated from the rest of the world like feudal Japan.
  3. Now Painless, quit beating around the bush and say what you really think.
  4. If it was, it forgot about it, cause it's still there after well over a week. I think the angle of the dangle indicates an impalement, as it's at the proper angle of an impact if it was flying. And I dunno about these FW190 birds hanging their trophies on barbed wire fences....if these things are around here, I'm taking a Remington 870 to work with me. Heh heh.
  5. It's the enlistment bonus of 72 virgins (female ones) that's attracting the attention.......... Oh, that's Islam. Never mind.
  6. This just illustrates that most colleges, like ALL law schools, should be shut down and the curriculum revamped to get rid of all the factors that could be used to inspire a South Park episode.
  7. Ok, I hooked up the LCD from work on here, and the FMB is fine. No aspect problem. I guess its my old monitor. I would start pushing buttons, but I've seen what happens when people on Star Trek do that shit. So, I guess i have to find me another monitor. CAn't afford a new one, so maybe i can find a slightly used one.....somewhere. thanx for the suggestion comrades.
  8. Yeah, I thought of that, but it works so well............and uh, I really can't afford that right now. It was in storage 6 of those yrs, as I had someone else's monitor (dont ask), and 4 yrs of use shouldnt be messihng it up I would think. I just figured it was some wierd setting somewhere that changed itself, and I need to see if i can fix this before I flush it. I'll try and bring home the flat monitor from work today.
  9. As I pulled into the gate at where I "work", I noticed something stuck on one of the barbs on the barbed wire fence. I said "huh?" Then I looked closer.....a beatle had impaled himself on the barb, right through the head. I mean, he couldn't have centered it better. And no, I didn't stick a dead beatle on there....this was the way I found it. Besides, only Psycho could think of sumthin like this. Anyway, my first thought was that this was the beebop of the beatle world. Heh heh.
  10. Good idea on the insignia. Thank god Adolph and Joseph didn't get along very well and were totally bonkers; We'd all be eating lots of sour kraut with vodka. Sometimes I think, if we were to pool our efforts, that we could give Tom Clancy a run for his money. But we wouldn't make any money, so never mind.
  11. Oh great....we got our collective asses kicked by an ad hoc bunch of civies who aren't even organized in a military type squadron with rank and discipline etc. Who ever heard of such a thing? Who the hell is Chenault? ...............oh. Never mind. Anyway, ditto what Painless said (Michal Caine's evil twin FYI). I think i got whacked 7 or so times, finished off some stubborn guy in a Heinkel who wouldn't cooperate with the grim reaper, and kept missing perfect deflection shots that are normally my strength (I was kinda interfered with by their buddies putting tracers over my canopy). If my gunnery was worth a damn, I'd have gotten those two guys that I chased around on the deck several revolutions before their pals blasted my CW Spit to oily pieces. I'd ask for help, but when my comrades asked where I was, I couldn't look at the map because I was straining so much to keep them in sight. 1. I need to practice combat on the deck. 2. My gunnery still sux. 3. We need to get organized.
  12. That skin got its start as the one he rigged for me to use in the cmpn. He's added some stuff, but it works well in the post war jet environment. I've done a bit of hacking for that project and it works pretty good. He's doing a Seafire 45 skin for the 25lb spit, as all the other ones available are based on the 1943 Seafire. I think you guys will like the skin package he'd done for that project. I can't wait till Luthier's Korea project is ready. I do hope it gets some stuff added to it over the yrs. I flew a bit of Strike fighters to be able to mess with such AC, and it's a great sim, but damned if I can remember the key commands for more than one set of simulators.
  13. It could be worse JP....at least they make fun of us on here and TS while we're present.....so far. On the other hand, I was an ace in the Isreali Air Force in 73 and 82. You saw my story on Dogfights; that was just a Jewish guy with an accent standing in for me.
  14. Damn. You guys do a great Jack Webb/Sgt. Friday imitation. Just the facts maam. I can't remember the type of screen, and it doesn't seem to be emblazoned anywhere on it. It's a 17 in crt (big and heavy), and I have no idea what the markings on the buttons it has on the front indicate. 4 of them are arrows in 4 directions. The last one is an oval looking thingy, sort of like a
  15. It's always good to find stripper clips for old rifles. I found a box of them for 03 springfields at a gun show once for a couple of bucks. Happy B-day comrade.
  16. Well this is still a problem. The planes dont look distorted anymore, but the FMB still goes off the screen ; cant access the file dropdown, and it's hard to zoom in now. The rest of the setup screens are partly off the screen to. Today while flying with the dogz, my map didn't have the numbers on it...they were on the far right, which was off the screen. Made it kinda hard to navigate. My screen just recently started doing a wierd thing to....as I turn on the computer, it will click on, then click off. the computer will start up, but I have to manually click on the screen. I dunno if that's related, but it started at the same time it seems. When I heard guys requesting assistance today, I had to ask them what town they were near.
  17. There are several countries where the populace has way too much time on their hands. That was pretty good though.....
  18. Heh heh. Where do you keep the mini-gun hidden? BTW, if you look at the film titled "ultra light problems", you will see a guy's emergency recovery chute deploy on take-off....which is a bad thing. My dad had one of those on his bird. I used to watch the gyros fly around here at our airport, but few show up anymore. Hell, hardly anything shows up in that wasteland anymore.
  19. Oops, I just realized I should have said "dam attack clips", not damn attack clips. one letter changes everything....kinda like when the bible was translated into English.
  20. And while Im at it, here is the original inspiration for the trench attack in Star Wars.......if you watch a couple of the damn attack clips on utube, you will see that the conversations were even the same. This take off is well done though.
  21. This is great. I saw it on the Zoo, and had to post it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DleDwJlkA8U
  22. Ok, more wierd stuff from me. I was trying to build a misn tonight, and I couldnt access the file column on the left of the FMB. I had to basically guess where "load" was in the drop down menu. Then, I tried to fly and noticed that everything, planes, maps etc, was stretched. I havent changed anything....not resolution, nothing. It looks absurd. Any ideas how I can get my perspective back? Thanks.
  23. I remember watching that live, as it was on CNN I think. I had just started working at the job Ronnie got me at Lockheed. Hail to the Chief certainly applied to him.
  24. Doh! I was comparing the SF to the hurri, not the hurri to the Buff. Damn. Well, I kinda think the maybe 1.3 buffs per mk1 hurri, but 1.5 buffs per mk2 hurri. I know.....here's a good question: What if God and Superman got into a fight? Not George Burns god in "Oh God", but the "Bruce Almighty" god. Yeah....that's about right. I'm getting confused now.
  25. I think it would also depend on whether it's actuallly a solitary plane against several. I think a single SF against 3 Buffs is gonna have a big problem, but TWO SFs against 6 buffs might be a different matter. Of course, the pilot is the most important factor.
