    TrackIR

thanks guys. i needed to get the usb pci card as my dell has 2 ports on the front of the machine in the worst desgined place ever. they are at the bottom but the plugs are inserted at an upwards angle. also under a flap. so crawling on the floor is required and if done at night with a torch as the flap causes shadows from the room lights. anyway the cables were dangerous and I and the kids have nearly tripped over them a couple of times. so i wanted to move them out of the way. so with this card i am actually re-deploying them. from the front to the back so that the cables come over the top of pc. i have fitted the card and it is working fine. WHEN i get trackir i will be needing another slot out of the way. so the 2 new spare i have now will be good. Cheers
  12. As the boards have been a quiet over the past couple of days thought it a suitable time to publish the next parish Newsletter. Village Dance – Review. Last Friday saw the first of our community gatherings in the church hall. It was lovely to see so many of the villages all gathered together in one place at the same time. The function had been arranged to help raise money for the Priory Sanctuary for fallen women. It warms the heart to see that so many of you would volunteer to help catch one. There were some problems with villages being able to get into the hall I know. This lag was due to some un thoughtful parking of a logging tractor. I shall have a word at the next committee meeting. For those not wishing to stand we put out some seats with rows B-G reserved for the senior members of the community. Once in side the hall it was a shame to note that people did seem to divide into two specific groups with some none to pleasant looks being exchanged between them. I do not like to name names but the situation was not helped by Mrs PA in less than a suitable dress for the occasion. Many congratulations must be passed on to the villages that formed a small band for the night, the music was certainly played at a lick, many tunes played at the double. Tap dancing seemed to be breaking out all around the hall. The rhythm was kept going wonderfully by the guitarman. 68 different “riffsâ€
  13. wow, is that right? (doh, stupid, stupid, frior-one must not question the great Roger (bang head into wall) I will clean mine up, it's not as cluttered as TA's was but if it helps to squeeze every last frame out for my machine, i'll clear the frickin' lot!
  14. Many thanks for the reply. I thought that would be the case. I will double check my case tonihgt when I get home and then get it ordered. Step 1 to trackir........ (OT. I am watching a trackir 3 with vector expansion and hat on e-bay at the moment, currently £40 + £3 delivery. Not sure if to go for it or not, that or wait untill i get £100 together for v4 brand new from edimensions.)
  15. planning ahead...not quite sure how far ahead at the moment.....but in preperation of me getting trackir, i will need some extra usb ports. I am planning to go the pci board route. 1. does cheap = poor ie http://kryton.clickandbuild.com/cnb/sho ... egoryID=23 2. is there any thing i need to look out for? 3. can anyone see why a dell would not like to receive such a board? any help / pointers welcome S!
  16. wow you guys are quick. i thought that i would post early this morining (9:40) uk time and get in first, how wrong was I! I too endorse the congratulations to Doubletap, well done mate. At times the battle was intense. I could really imagine what it would of been like for real. Pilots screaming for help, confusing messages comming in and all without the benifit of an instant/easy grid reference. I would have lasted about 30 seconds, infact thats about how long I did last in contacts last night! Well done to every one on both the Red and Blue teams. Congratulations to Delta7 for handling his role not as Blue Leader but "Blue Team Battle Co-ordinator" so well, another great job. Awards: Best one man killing machine: Psycho Worst use of Luftwaffe equipment and resourses: frior-one Favourite quote of the night: "So tell me, why do they call you Psycho?" Where do I sign up for the next one please.........?

    the big 5 0

hey we've hit the big five oh (members). anyone notice that th forum seems to be getting busier leading up to friday 5 (members on line now)
  18. Blue team - ignore last post - Axis mis-information campaign in full swing.
  19. Red Team - are you aware of the european mid-summer time shift that has just been brought in? Western Europe clocks are to be put back an hour from 20:00 bst on thursday
  20. sorry von toner, it must be heat of battle, you are signed up for the blue team, its the reds you want to wipe out.......
  21. i made my post about vulching for fear of what you describe Glen, however, it was made with a lack of understanding as to how the map would work. If there are more than a few airfields we can fly from, and the method of changing airfield is quick, then fine. (once on our df server I wanted to change home base and to wait what seemed ages for the message "please wait for host to acknowledge change" or something like that. and in the end disconnected. if this is what ill happen on friday night then it will spoil it for me. ) I can understnad your point of view- it was a real war tactic, and Jim's - this is meant to be fun.
  22. I had just posted something similar in the nail your colours post when Glen pointed me here. No vulching and no externals for guidance of other craft in combat are great ideas. please do not turn externals off completly though.
  23. Yes, its was me, I dont know, you help a parishioner, and they pay you back by blowing away one of your wings. Sometimes the work of the holy order is tough. Well done top-ace
  24. Arsenal I would say ravage only 3 of them, the fourth send by DHL to Frior-One, The Priory, High-On-A-Hill-Top, Lichtenstein.
