  1. I'd go for the no vulching rule as well, and perhaps a gentlemens agreemnet (as we are all gentelmen of our word...are we not?) that if you are killed or back at your own base we do not use extrenal view to offer advice to other pilots about whats around them. View for entertainment by all means, but no guidance. Go Blue !
  2. glad to hear it VT, will be a pleasure knowing you are on my side
  3. The Priory are currently selling Rafale tickets for the Fete, you can win 5lb of Mrs Thonlinsons Home made marmarlade...
  4. There is nothing wrong in wanting to shoot down those little spitties, the dirty heathens will deserve it come friday night but say 3 tally-ho's for your sins, now go in peace, oh and Delta7 GIVE THEM HELL !!
  5. I have just noticed that, following the posting of my prayer, my new status has been confirmed. If any of you would like to discuss any problems with me I can assure you that they will be treated with the utmost kindness. I have been known for being a good listner. I would also like to assure you all that any thing you confide in me will be kept secret, that is untill I have amassed my biggest points score and on my way back home when you get on my six, then I will only be doing the priorys work by telling anyone willing to listen! Parish Update Issue 1 Mrs Scriggins will be holding her usual cake sale on Sunday, all those pilots flying TB3's please note as they are useful when low on ammo. Last weeks whist drive raised £4.76 well done Mrs Scrimsure. The Virgin Young Wives Group I am affraid to say has been disbanded due to the laid back attitude of its members. Congratulations to the cricket team (for our friends across the pond-two sides one in one out the team thats out tries to get the team thats in out when the team thats out has got the team thats in out they go in and the team that was in then goes out and tries to get the team that was out and is now in out.-ok? Oh and done while wearing their best sunday whites with a stop during the afternoon for tea and nice creamy cakes, the ones with jam and cream that ooze out the side when you bite in) for a fine performance scoring 48 all out. Keep up the good work, more in the next issue.
  6. i bumped into topace last night in teamspeak (i had just d/l teamspeak display and wanted to see how it worked). I spent a while with him teaching him how to use the mission builder to construct a mission for gunnery practice (c-47 flying in a big square) and told him about re-viewing what he had done but showing him how to record the mission. he seems to tink that it will help.
  7. yes sged, both sides will be assigned a plane set (as near as possible to that as was around at the time)
  8. hello big-boy, show you a good time...tell me about these liddle piddle plans then
  9. I would like to open the bidding on the MERC's. Fly with blue and I will give you the use of the brown armchair on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Your own car parkspace out side the billet, oh and the provision of a good woman every third Thursday in the month (i know some nuns with dirty habbits).* *In months that do not contain three Thursdays, one will be provided on the second Friday.
  10. some are born to greatness, others have it thrust upon them. me, I'll go make the tea. Oberleutnant frior-one at your service sir!

    TrackIR

many thanks dave, i think i can really only go to trackir3. that will give me left/right/up/down correct? just not backward and forward? what do you use for a reflector? spot on a cap/mike boom? does that work well? i thought about putting some sort of white led run by battery on a cap. would this give better results? do you know of any examples. my fingers are itching to push "buy" just wanted to be re-assured that v3 will be enough for me. if not then i will not buy it at all. also i will need to add usb ports. what does the panel reccommend, usb hub/powered hub/pci card ? many thanks for advice

    TrackIR

I am thinking about getting trackir. can anyone point me to a uk seller as i am having trouble finding anyone. Cheers
  13. Glen mentioned last night (thur 1/6) that he was not sure who was in so come on guys feel free to edit this post and put your name under the relevant heading. (use dots to format the position) if you have a preference number put it in a bracket. ..ALLIED..................................AXIS...............................EITHER Redeye(1).............................frior-one..............................B16ENK BG.......................................Redeye (2).........................Rattler guitarman68..........................VonTonar...............................sged jensenpark(2)........................jensenpark(1).........................Psycho delta7(2)...............................delta7(1)...........................waldo.pepper Cannon(1)..............................Cannon(2)........................... 14. http://www.answers.com/topic/messerschmitt-bf-109 i found the above when looking for more info on what I may have to fight with on the 9th. I found it very interesting.
  15. have received the doc. makes a great read. a fine piece of work sir. my only concern is that aaa does not bring my game down to a slide show. really looking forward to the event. will be a late night  but hey, the dogz are worth it!
  16. looks like i may be in (flying axis) told the wife special night, 62nd anniversary, blah blah, the only comment i got was to be quiet on the mic! apparently i talk too loud to you guys! she has not heard psycho and does not realise what it takes to get a word in! mission request aaa - not to heavy/much please, even the smallest units seem deadly. looking forward to a plane set. have done a bit of reasearch myself came up with b17/b24/a20/p47/mossie/tempest/beaufighter. not much for axis 109g/ju88's it seems the allied had them pinned down so much by june 6 that they flew fewer than 300 missions over the d-day period. S!
  17. von tonar, your right, did'nt notice that, might have to think again..!!!
  18. i would like to be in. may mean going to bed for a few hours first and getting up again (mid-night start for uk), but sounds cool......
  19. i voted that i will wait. if it means a computer upgrade then i am afraid that this is 1 dog that will have to leave the kennel. i can not justify spending probably £600-£700 just to have the latest game. il2 and all its additions has enough for me, spitfires, hurris 109s heinkels. ok they might have to fight each other over russian soil, but hey i am flying not driving. In the current game there are lots and lots of planes that i have not set foot in (fewer now having flown with the dogz) so there is still lots to explore. I have not taken part in many missions so there is that as well. i have to say that i do not care if it includes a mark ? this or that which climbs at 50 secs/meter faster than other versions a fringe view perhaps but that is my position.
  20. seeing as no one else has done it... happy birthday to you....happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear delta7/david, happy birthday to you. drinks all round tonight then ah dave? Cheers, I'll start now
  21. thanks, i'll have a look. (I already have Shift_E's program by the way.)
  22. hi, i thought that i would give the complete ed a go. i have renamed my old folders so that i can pull back files that i want to keep. my problem is..when the dvd runs up the "install" option is greyed out (not selectable) any offers please.
  23. without me looking does anyone know the largest map/grid ie a-z by 1-20 i am embarking on a project to make a headings calculator. my idea being you set the starting grid ref and the destination grid ref and you get the heading back. i am thinking about this as a paper/card wheel. you dial in the two points and the heading is displayed. all this may be futile but it has got me thinking at the moment. (until someone tells me i am wasting my time!) my idea is based on a right-angle triangle. the east/west leg is one side, north/south leg is the other. i am planning to calculate the steps from grid to grid i.e 4 across and 3 up to get from a1 to e4. this gives a right triangle. i compute the angle and get the heading. does anyone have any thoughts on this? am i wasting my time?
