  1. Looks outstanding Gman. Nice job indeed. I found it pretty amazing how fast it went once I got going on it. You guys are shaming me in to painting mine. BTW is that "Corinthian" leather covering the seat?
  2. Very nice job BadAim! Looks great! Here is a couple of shots of mine that I built after being inspired from this thread. Still need to paint it but I just can't seem to bring myself to taking it down for long enough to do it.

    4.09 beta out

Ok, I think I did it right. I just unzipped it to my game folder and let it overwrite any files/folders. Started up game ok and had the beta version on splash screen but have not actually given it a try. Defiantly heed BG's advice and make a backup copy of your game folder. It has saved me more than once.

    4.09 beta out

Found this link on ubizoo. Averaged 1.5mb sec. Much better! http://files.filefront.com/409b1mzip/;9 ... einfo.html Opened the zip and found some files and stuff but don't see anykind of installer. Hmmmm, I guess it's because it's beta and stuff? Oh well, I'll wait until someone smarter than me post a "How to make it go" instruction. Also, there will be another download for additional skins that I have not seen a link for yet. Apparently it is being uploaded to Filefront now. Here it is, http://files.filefront.com/409b1m+skins ... einfo.html Read me for beta patch: Patch 4.09mBeta Patch includes: * New maps: Bessarabia Iasi (online) Odessa (online) MTO Slovakia Slovakia (online) * New default skins for planes 409b1m.zip contains maps only. If you want to install replacement skins then download 409b1m_skins.zip and install over the map pack. fb_3do20.sfs from the map pack have to be overwritten. ***** CHANGES in GRAPHICS *********************** * Increased buffer size for stationary objects (buildings etc.)

    4.09 beta out

I finally got the link to work and it was downloading at a blazing 23kb a sec. Approximate download time 2hr and 39min. Think I'll wait for awhile and try later.
  6. Heya Jim, Here's what MS says. 1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK. 2. Click the General tab. The operating system appears as follows:• For a 64-bit version operating system: Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Version < Year> appears under System.
  7. Whenever my Cougar Hotas Leaves wishing I had a better control system I just plug in my backup hardware.
  8. Great news for you Kelly. Another foot on that recycle bin and who knows what kind of catastrophes you may have suffered! I just got done enduring an ice storm that took out the power for about 5 days and broke a bunch of tree limbs. Luckily none of them hit the house. Here's just a few of them..........

    on its way

Congrats Kelly! Your gonna like it alot.
  10. I went for it too. The engine sounds are much more realistic but I'm having a little trouble adjusting to them after years of the old sounds. The guns are awesome!!! Also I noticed that outside sounds from inside the cockpit have much less volume. Got snuck up on by a 109 and just about hit the ceiling when his rounds riddled my fuselage.
  11. New stuff on BOB here. http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/viewtopic.php?t=192
  12. I've been flying the glider sim Condor most recently. It really is quite challenging. I thought it would be a bit boring at first but once you get dialed in with the reality of just how difficult it really is to stay in the air without a propeller your hooked. The challenge of hunting thermals or soaring along cliffs is very rewarding. I would recommend to anyone who is a flight sim enthusiast! Check it out............ http://www.condorsoaring.com/about.htm
  13. That's awesome dude! I can't believe you got it so fast.
  14. I agree with Chris. Looks like a nice deal. You can always upgrade the GFX to what's groovy now later on down the road when prices have dropped. As it is, what your looking at is certainly no sloucher. Who knows when BOB will be released and what it will need to run it at this point. It will need to be released and then go thru a patch or two. Then I'll make a big leap on upgrading to accommodate it. I have a feeling that's going to be a long while yet. I just made an upgrade myself recently after waiting a long long long time for BOB. Glad I didn't wait any longer.

  18. Yep, It's a great addition for the simmer/gamer. I've had one for a few months now. I started out looking for just a regular keyboard with illuminated keys. I really wasn't looking for all the bells and whistles the G15 offers. Then NewEgg had a terrific deal going on them so I went ahead and got it. Now I'm very glad I did! The etxra programable keys are a very cool addition as well as the groovy lcd display. I'd recommend it to anybody considering one.

  20. What you say is very true BBloke. I also enjoy all the little details myself. It's just that nothing has been shown development wise for such a long time. So when we finally get a glimpse of what has been happening I guess our expectations are much higher.(Not that the door isn't very nice) Kinda like Oleg is saying "Hey everybody, here's the door we've been working on for the last 8 months" So then you start thinking, "Man, if it took them that long too make the door...................." Hmmmmmmm It's the whole patience thing. I hate it!
