  1. I wasn't shouting. I was whispering evil threats. A couple of thoughts. Which computer did Glenn set up his port forwarding from? If it was the Dell, perhaps the NM isn't seeing it. That has happened to me a couple of times. Has he tried cleaning out all the port forwarding entries from the router and then resetting them? That has also caused me problems until I reset the port forwarding all at once. Has he looked at his Network connection to make sure he the plug in the correct place? Has he gone into to his Internet Protocol and set up his TCP thingy like this.
  2. But his log is clean....... :?: :!: I must have missed something. Where did he say his log was clean? And has anyone else tried to connect to his NM host? Glenn, Please answer. ANYBODY ANSWER?
  3. Have to agree with my good friend Jeremy. It must be in game settings. Next time we are on TS we can run through the position of the switches in Sound Setup.
  4. Anybody seen this Danger Dogz lately?

  6. Miller had two great bands. The first ran from 1938 until 1942 when he volunteered for the US Army Air Force Band and featured two great singers Marion Hutton http://www.parabrisas.com/d_huttonm.php and Tex Beneke http://www.bigbands.org/benekebio.htm Both of them great vocalists. In 1942 Miller formed the US Army Air Force Band and was given his pick of some of the best musicians in the world who were in the Army. It was truly an outstanding orchestra. If you are going to buy some Miller CD's I would have to recommend you get some of his 1938 - 1942 era orchestra and some of the US Army Air Force Band. I have the complete set of all his music from 1938-42 in a 13 CD collection which cost under $100 when I bought it. I see it is now being offered for £152 on Amazon UK in used nick. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/ ... 38-8324707 The best Army Air force recording I have is http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/ ... 38-8324707 If you would like I would be more than happy to copy some of his best stuff from both bands and burn some DVD discs for you. Just tell me what are "musts" and I will select the rest.
  7. If a man makes a statement in the woods and no one hears it Is he still wrong?
  8. Sure sounds like a firewall issue, doesn't it?
  9. Glenn lad, Have you checked your logs (Router or Firewall)? If it is either blocking it, you should be able to see which one, if any, is doing it. Make sure your IP is correct. Go to start/run/cmd/ipconfig/all and see what comes up. Your internal IP for your new computer may be different from what you think and this should verify it. There is an answer. We just have to make sure you can find it. BTW Are you at home now?
  10. Next "victim" has already been selected and it could be YOU if you haven't been flying with us for a while. One simple way to make sure your name doesn't appear here. Get a divorce!
  11. Time to come in from the cold Bun-Bun. Even Jimmy Giro has noticed your Saturday night absence!. (For those of you who don't know who Jimmy Giro is, he was generally considered the best on-line player and Bun-Bun nailed him on Hyperlobby) The Danger Dogz need you man!
  12. Thanks for posting Angus. Some unique and interesting stuff there.
  13. Oh shute! My fault Von Tonar sir. Pass me a piece of that humble pie. I left you off my North American Danger Dogz list. You are back on now. BTW we always fly on Saturday nights at 8pm EST
  14. This will be a regular feature. The Hall of Shame is dedicated to those Danger Dogz who have been Missing in Action for an unreasonable amount of time. If you haven't flown with us for a while expect to be publically pilloried here. BTW where the heck were all you North American Danger Dogz last night? Our featured guest today is Cold_Gobbler!
  15. I didn't think there was a summer in the UK! We don't move to daylight savings time until the first Sunday in April which falls on April 2 this year. So I guess for a wee while, the time difference will only be four hours.
  16. On second thoughts, I think you have already lost it.
  17. That is very possible. I know that Johnnie Walker Red in the US is quite different from the stuff we get here in Canada. And Dazza, when I was your age I hated scotch as well. It certainly is an "acquired" taste.
  18. I think I am going to pick me up a bottle of Dalwhinnie. Thanks BG. Oh Glenn! You mean it's for me? What a guy!
  19. Irish or Scotch Glenn? My favourite single malt Scotch is Dalwhinnie 15 year old. Very reasonably priced and doesn't have that heavy peaty taste associated with the Western Isles single malts. The Irish whiskeys we sampled were Bushmills, Cooleys and Jameson 20 year old. Almost everyone agreed the last one had the best taste.
  20. I just got back from a trip to London, Ontario. I was staying with my sister-in-law and her new boyfriend asked me to join him for a whisky tasting dinner that he puts on once a month for about 40 guys in a local pub called the Waltzing' Weasel. Usually it is single malt scotches they sample but this month it was Irish. They are up in the $200 a bottle range and have sampled over 100 single malts. Most of the guys who attended were Profs from the local University, Doctors and Lawyers. What a fun night it was but these guys drink way too much even for me! My consumption was 3 pints of Smithicks (Irish draft bitter and my favourite beer) and 6 glasses of Irish Whiskey. By the end of the evening I was feeling no pain. That came next morning. I was seated opposite a nice guy who turned out to be a Lutheran Pastor. This guy could drink like a fish and attends every tasting. At one stage, after tasting a 20 year old Jameson ($90 a bottle) he declared that he could detect the taste of leather. I don't know why but I chipped in and said "and perhaps a hint of whip". That brought the house down and the pastor laughed the hardest.
  21. Kelly, I have already sent you an email about this but I also wanted to express my sadness on the Danger Dogz Forums. Loosing a pet is one of life's great miseries. There is nothing anyone can say to make up for that absolute trust that a dog adds to your everyday life. I think it is even worse because of the guilt one feels after they are gone. Doones had 17 good years which is a long time for any dog. We are proud to honour him as a true Danger Dogz.
  22. Waldo raises a good point about buying a reconditioned X52 from the US for US$69.95 and paying the shipping and duty.
