Your town and the railway bridge must have been on one of the main transport links from Germany into France. I would imagine we tried to bomb the shit outta' that bridge in the spring of '44? It's not really main transport to France, only like to the West of the Netherlands. From october '44 it got more and more attention from the air. There've been several surveys into how many are still there... Concluding that it could not really be determined.... Here's a pic of some craters: They are currently doing groundworks in the area, hence they found bomb #21, so that's like twenty more had been found, earlier on in these works, I think they started this project last year ...

They've found another one of those bombs the Allies dropped to attempt to destroy the railbridge of my home town... (Mind you, the 'bang' is not really big, nor impressive)

Grand Scrimmage, loved it... ! Well, it was very special to me, as I flew for the other side.... Very different to be de-winged by Fenrir, instead of him winging me .... Though my favorite moment was a PK on Tolwyn, on a secondary head-on, where the first one damaged me more than him (Apart from an AI-pilot git that one of my AI B25 gunners got, that was the only damage I managed to do this mission) But you guys worked us over good and back and forth, repeat, repeat ... grand show... We ... well, all of us but me actually ... did admire your teamwork...

Now that only a few model cars are on the bridge, most of them were in a box, packed away. So, using two pieces of perspex I had somewhere, and some others stuf, last Sunday, I built me a simple display case. The perspex door hinges at te top. (It looks a bit warped, but that's what the iPhone's 'Pano' does ... )
