Once DCS has a dedicated server me thinks it should run on the same one as BoS and CloD are running on... But yeah, go for it!

There have been some, a few...as in not many. Can't see the history of donations, so... The server used to show a message in the chat, every 15 minutes or so - but in the end I found it a nuisance, not adding much, so I removed it... there is a line in the server briefing though: "Please donate @ www.DangerDogz.com" Discussion? What discussion? What options do we have? 1. Open server, free for all, fun for all. People are free to donate, but have to find their way to our forums. (Current situation) 2. Closed server, password only available to DD's. Might as well shut it down, uninstall it, for the Thursdays sessions I can host. Or fly on ATAG. Free up resources for DCS. 3. Closed server, password only available to those who have donated. Who's going to administer that? If you feel anything is wrong with the current setup, where you think people should not be using our server unless they've donated, then by all means feel free to go and advertise the server, and add a donate link + instructions. Oh, sorry, let's keep an open mind. Please discuss...

Hoorray! Good to hear that! (Mind you, group effort! Somebody setup the Windows server, somebodies paid for it, somebody guided us in the right direction as for basic mission and tooling... and some fool glued it all together, and keeps it up and running!)

No need to do that, I am already convinced of that. I only got the the F-14 to be able to sit in the back and enjoy the views! ?

Try and run this command from your (new) dcs/bin folder: DCS_updater.exe repair Might fix it, but it has not always worked for me (having DCS on a different disk, and running that from a freshly installed Windows 10 on a new disk) Not the same situation, but comparable ...

Oh, and if you do start the cloning process, please do not mix up source and target!! (ie, get your data backed up first!)

Unwise? Only if/when in the end it does not work. One cannot really successfully copy the complete content of a running Windows disk to another disk... Oh wait, so, indeed, in the end this does not work Alternative ways: - Use Samsung Data migration software (will only run if/when it's a Samsung SSD for sure) -Use a different operation system, like some Linux variant, and use its cloning tools ... -Use some other good quality cloning software that will run under Windows it can be done... just try and select a proper tool

Just a tip: Be careful if you are going for a new Windows 10 install. Make sure that no other disks are connected when you do that, as Windows may just decide to have/keep/use a different disk as system boot disk than you might expect. Meaning after install, you remove one of the old disks, and presto, no windows no boot no more

(There's still one thing I cannot get used to: Lack of trim-on-a-slider. I keep moving sliders, nothing happens - I want it to work the same as in 1946 and CloD and DCS! It just takes away a big part of the fun for me ... blêh)

Just wipe it off - I usually use a paper towel / handkerchief some stuff whatever... then a blob of the new stuff and glob's yer uncle ... (Mind you, I've had to redo mine as well - at least once - oh well, better not listen to me then ... )

Done: A Oh dear, just this little snippet .... lol ... oh my. I will sit back and watch it all happen ... It's a brilliant JET aircraft, but way too much for me to handle! "Set the Emergency Wing Sweep Handle all the way forward to 20 degrees (scroll mousewheel or left click & drag), then push the lever down with a right click and flip the handle cover over it. Then, press the MASTER RESET button (very important or the AUTO mode will not work properly). Use the Wing Sweep AFT & FWD buttons on your Wing Sweep Thumb switch (throttle) to exercise the wings through their whole range of motion. Then, set the Wing Sweep Thumb Switch UP to AUTO mode. The Wing Sweep Angle indicator should then automatically set themselves to 20 deg."

There's no specific limit to numbers on our server, apart from the total of 44. Is this limited to one a/c type? I know that patch 4.5x changed something regarding 109 gunbelt sttings/loadouts, if you had some set in the past, it now mat struggle with the old values. Open User.ini, and edit it, and throw out the 109 gunbelt settings... and/or for other German types that cannot be created.

Have removed like all of the 'Radio Beacon' objects in the mission, as well as most of the 'Radar' objects - There were a lot of them in there, and I kinda figured out only one Radar object on each side (Red/Blue) was needed to cover all icons-on-the-map and radio messages on bandits left/right... Well, I hope so anyways... (In theory, if you know where the enemy's single Radar object is located, you could basically blind him in one go... )

Not sure, but I think the engine will lose its power, and or seize up... prop stops turning, so glider ... Why not try it out?
