  1. Hm, your IP address has changed... You can retry running ChkMods now. Or copy the entire folder over to the laptop, maybe first save a copy of conf.ini somewhere...
  2. Looks pretty cool, that list. Though.... where's the P12-E? Swordfish?
  3. Well, preparation for next chapter has begun: One of the pilars.... in Dutch: 'Pijler H' This is top side view drawing... If it all goes well, the bridge deck will be over the red dotted lines ... I think ...
  4. Sid, in 1927, the Dutch government started planning for bigger main roads all over the country, and as there's lots of rivers to cross, a special buro was setup to organize them bridges. That's how some of 'm got to be of similar design I guess. The one at my hometown was the last in the series... The Dutch are still very thankful and humble at the same time for what the Allies did for us, beat the Germans, liberate the country and such. Even now that the majority never experienced it, it still lives strongly ....
  5. So, it still does not start? So, you did use the mega patch? From what version did you start when you started patching? Oh well, try this: Installing HSFX 7 the easy way I have given access to ChkMods, using the IP address you are using on the forums here, should work, if not, send me a PM with your correct IP address...
  6. City council whom I emailed requesting drawings and sizes of the arc, answered that the arc is not their responsibility, only the eastern part of the drive up to the arc. So, I got a ton of drawings from them, all about stuff I'm not interested in... well, apart from the first pilar, though that's a big one to build. So, sent a mail to the 'Rijkswaterstaat' (governemental stuff) and they replied and informed me what they had, asked if that would help... So I replied 'Yes, please' ... now waiting for the stuff... Still making progress... bit concerning though, that I am building it, while still unsure about correct height of it.... oh well... there's always hope!
  7. +3 (Using it on three computers)
  8. Trib, no secrets nor wizardy in ChkMods... The way you describe to operate it is the correct one, if you still run into issues, just report them.... ChkMods works by taking a working installation of 1946, all patched up to whatever MOD version, and of that version, all the relevant files (just about everything, except missions, paintschemes, and the likes) are being recorded version wise, and that info is stored in a database. When checking, it checks all those relevant files with your installation, anything missing will be added, everything of the wrong version will be replaced... that's basically all... As it does not check all files, it is best to start with a complete installation of a version, though it is possible to start with an empty folder. You will then end up with a multiplayer-client version, as there are no missions, not even quick ones. And, for sure, you will need to set up the hardware settings, in conf.ini, and your key- and controller assignments.... UP3 is history, History is current... (The H in HSFX stands for 'History':) )
  9. Hooray! He's on his way back in! You should indeed start with a standard v4.12.2m and install HSFX7 on top of it. Or use ChkMods to move from current version to v4.12.2m/HSFX7.02 See here: Installing HSFX7 the easy way Good Luck! (I have already put your latest IP address to the list, so you should be good to go using it)
  10. Hm, not sure what the 'got that' means... If you look at it in a positive way, then "yes" ... but...
  11. LOL... "most realistic" !! Brilliant! Thanks!
  12. Two arches - fitting - trying ... There's an amazing amount of time disappearing into them small thingies I decided to add, to help with looks, and also construction... For each of those 20 vertical thingies, 6 detail-items to create and to glue ...
  13. Some 70 small items. Created manually, one by one. I will need 96 of them.
  14. Working on the Arch ...
  15. Something else to try: Start the game, go to Pilot, create a new pilot, and select it. Then go into Controls, and try assigning it once more, by clicking and then moving the axis... Oh, and make sure the stick is connected first
  16. Well, your joystick is not listed in there? Was it disconnected maybe? If it was connected... dunno why it would not show up. Then again, for IL2 to be able to use it, it must show up in 'Direct Input Devices' .... Edit: As it is a laptop, are you maybe using a USB hub? If so, try and connect the stick directly to a port on the laptop...
  17. Please run a DxDiag report (click here to read how) and paste the results in a reply here ...
  18. Hm, why do you have that Parallel Port Joystick in there? Is the Logitech a USB one?
  19. Biggest advantage is that I can now switch between Speakers and Headset with a button press... no more plugging cables, or switching devices As for sound quality? The Kave Digital is lacking in the bass area... but as I only have it at a low volume, it's not much of a problem, to me. Oh, the low volume is also the reason why I do not use the kicker with it...
  20. Nope. But, then again, I never tried to I see no need in that.... but, maybe I should look into it? No, one would have to open up the set to get to it...
  21. "nothing change" as in ... you mouse click on the line, get the box to show, move the control, but the 'Axis-Y' text does not show up? That is just weird. What joystick is it? Brand? Model? Does it show up as a Game Controller? - Press Start Button, type game controllers and select it in the list above ...
  22. You first tried to do what I suggested? Start the game, go to 'Controls', then scroll all the way down to the 'HOTAS Control' section. (As in: not the Hardware setup...)
  23. I am using that Kave 5.1 Digital. ROC-14-160 I upgraded to that from a Kave 5.1 Surround. (That one I handed over to Crash, so I cannot test it for you...) You should be able to connect the Surround to the controlbox of the Digital. I have my 5.1 speakerset connected to it. You can then use the 'Speakers' button on the control box to switch from the Digital one to the Surround one. Can't use 'm both at the same time, sound wise. You would be left with only one sound device (switching off the onboard one). That's good. Cable lenght of both headsets is fair, but I could not tell you whether it's sufficient for you... you can always lengthen them for sure.
  24. Indonesia according to his flag. Ah, thanks... makes sense then
