Had some issues with my Roccat Cave Digital 5.1 Headset, where the rear speakers would no longer work when the external speakerset was activated. (You can connect your normal 5.1 speaker set to it, and with pressing one switch you go from speakers to headset... nice!) So, it still has warranty, and I called them, they said 'send it back to us, we'll have a look'. That'd mean I'd be out of sound, and I did not want to setup the on board sound again, so I decided to simply buy me another one... It just arrived, I opened the package, and started swapping them out. Then I had a look at the satelite thingy where the 5.1 speakerset is connected, with three 3.5mm plugs. Three different colours, you know the drill... but then... there were four holes in the thing. Four? Ah, 7.1 it can also do that! Wait a minute, why is there no plug in the black hole? And, why is the black plug in the orange hole? I then realised what had happened... I had it disconnected a few days ago - dunno why - can't remember. So... I reconnected the black plug... w00t... they are back! Oh well, got a nice spare set now.... Should maybe not have opened the box though .... Yeah, let's move on now, I am off to the shop where they sell paint, beige paint in particular... As the brigde will be painted beige, because I do not like the grey stuff ... !

It's gone again! Must indeed be a wacky contact. Oh well...

Should be possible. Would not know how... yet. And, I do not think it's an issue at the moment. Yesterday, Fenrir, Jabo, CapJack, APhill and me flew around, together with others who were on other TS, no issues at all as far as I can tell...

Will I ever get done with this thing? Decided to add some lighting: 4x Led, in serial setup, powered by a 12V adaptor. (As I added a potmeter to it, the lighting can be dimmed, though very limited...) Here's one test-fitted to the right. The black thing that forms the lamp-housing, is one of those rubbery things you find on in-ear-headphones, turned inside out Lights on! Darn difficult to make pictures in these conditions... As for other developments: - Had a big mishap when 'Pijler H' decided to go take a fall... from 5 feet down... restoration time! - All railings have been painted white! - ...

Looks like it is. Saw something similar last weekend, names I did not recognize, until Sonofhorus also joined. He is a member, although it's been months since I've seen him on TS... We've had a bit of a discussion on this already, whether it's an issue, or not. Did not reach a conclusion that would lead to action... Well, it's not like they will be braking anything... or wear it out...

Patience my dear, patience... I've just finished painting the underside of the bridge (no pictures, it's not that special..) Finished half of the railings, construction wise that is, still need to paint them. 12 pieces of 15 cm long... And then 12 more to go ... Or wait, me thinks 14 ... Oh, as for transporting it? Once the railings are in place, me thinks it's gonna need a custom transport-case to keep it safe. One with weels, and possibly an engine?

Over at ATAG: "Do you have 5.1 system? This thread is for you" Basically, change Speakers=1 to =4 in your conf.ini. I have changed it, but have not checked the results yet!

Derailing? No problem, I'll play along: French traffic jam, a scene from the French movie 'Weekend' ... (though an American is commenting on this scene) Indeed, they do not make 'm like that anymore! (Movies in this case) Oh, BTW, by using google in a more clever way (like searching using Dutch words instead of English) I found the 1/64 models I need are very much available via Dutch retailers as well... so, more cars are on their way to the Bridge, worth of 42,= Euros....

Cars are still in New York, according to map on the tracking site... well, status is 'The shipment is in transit to its destination.' The Gaulle mobile is an ambulance, I picked it up in a local shop, with a lorry (a car transporter) and a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow (latter one is also in the picture). Them three 1/65 scale vehicles cost me 15 Euro's... lol. Should've thought about visiting that shop earlier.... they got all kinds and scales of model cars... all very second hand though... and in need of some touching up with paint...
