  1. What an amazing memorial, excellent work: Google Earth launched in 2005, and it's been a great tool for being able to see a bird's eye view of nearly anywhere on the planet. But if you type in a specific coordinate, 16°51′53.748″N 11°57′13.362″E, and zoom in all the way, you'll notice something very strange. At first, it looks like a watermark or logo on the screen. As you look closer, it's not on the screen, but on the earth image itself. Here is the true and inspiring story of this strange drawing, only visible from the sky. http://www.wimp.com/googlememorial/
  2. Very cool! The 3D model looks a bit squiffy in places, although praise where it's due. I'd love to get my hands on a properly developed Harrier module for DCS world.

Looking splendid old man! More pics please, I know it looks more complete than this
  9. Looking marvellous Mick! Fantastic work on the weathering.
  10. What Nick said! Admittedly for locals like Fenrir, Fruitbat and I, we would need a bit of a talking to if we didn't know one end of Kent and Sussex to the other by now!... However, like Artie jokingly said last night, the Island is only about the size of a city block right? And you soon get used to the shape of coast lines etc.
  11. Totally agree with these sentiments, CLoD setup was a nightmare at points and for a while it was the main reason I steered clear of it. However, through perseverance and the help of chaps like Fen and FT, I got through it and now have a happy setup which works really well for me. Everything is now second nature which allows me to enjoy want a fantastic sim it has become over the last few years thanks to some talented and dedicated volunteers. The immersion you experience in CLoD is something i've not found elsewhere yet, although DCS comes close. I hope you stick with it Col, it'll be great to fly wing with you. The more the merrier!
  12. As reported from Keypublishing forum: The Buchons are going to The Boschung group of Switzerland, have a look / read here: http://boschungglobal.com/messerschmitt.php After 40 years in a barn will it run?
  13. Uhh, ummm, what?! Incredible.
  14. Oh my, i've just read the SimHQ article and i'm so tempted with these... what can I sell...
  15. Morning chaps! It's Movember the 1st today and I'm clean shaven ready for a month of embarrassment and itching, all for a good cause. I'm changing the face of men's health by supporting #Movember. Please support my journey by making a donation if you can. http://mobro.co/twostix To paraphrase the words of our very own Fenrir, I'm gonna put a fanny duster there! Is anyone else taking part?
  16. I thought nothing of the sort old chap
  17. Ok mate, like I say it was just a suggestion and i'm not even sure if it's a problem in the first place!
  18. Could a rule be introduced that would only let in pilots with 'DD_' in their callsign? (Can we even do that?) Or is it really that much of an issue? I don't know, just a suggestion.
  19. Woah! Superb pilotage there.
  20. Very good.
  21. Same here. Thanks Gec.

    Woah...!

I wouldn't even know where to begin with proper modern combat missions. I can get my F-15 off the ground, do some nice aerobatics and land it, that is all! The only extra thing I can do with the A-10 is throw some depleted uranium at the earth
