  2. One could not add to the above accolades, congratulations and thanks so eloquently said above except to say I had a great time and when do we do Part Deux? Most worthwhile endeavour!!! Much Respect and Cheers! Strider
  3. ~S~ While taxiing at London's, Gatwick Airport, the crew of a US Air flight departing for Ft. Lauderdale made a wrong turn and came nose to nose with a United 727. An irate female ground controller lashed out at the US Air crew, screaming: "US Air 2771, where the hell are you going? I told you to turn right onto Charlie taxiway! You turned right on Delta! Stop right there. I know it's difficult for you to tell the difference between C and D, but get it right!" Continuing her rage to the embarrassed crew, she was now shouting hysterically: "God! Now you've screwed everything up! It'll take forever to sort this out! You stay right there and don't move till I tell you to! You can expect progressive taxi instructions in about half an hour, and I want you to go exactly where I tell you, when I tell you, and how I tell you! You got that, US Air 2771?" "Yes, ma'am," the humbled crew responded. Naturally, the ground control communications frequency fell terribly silent after the verbal bashing of US Air 2771. Nobody wanted to chance engaging the irate ground controller in her current state of mind. Tension in every cockpit out around Gatwick was definitely running high. Just then an unknown pilot broke the silence and keyed his microphone, asking: "Wasn't I married to you once?" ~S~ and Cheers! Strider
  4. ~S~ JP! Thanks for the kind words (and resisting the lawyer bashing). Actually, I collect lawyer jokes---some of the biggest ....heads I've met in r/l though most are fine people like us...LOL. I play in several bands, mostly as a fill-in, and jam groups because I like the variety of musicians and styles of music available. I rehearse weekly with a regular group and try to practice 1/week to keep my chops up. I've played gigs in duos up to a 22 piece swing band. I once auditioned for Edward Bear (get your history book out---they did "You and Me and Mexico"). Probably the most notable I played for was Tommy Common of old CBC fame. My group Solid Fuel opened last September at a Rosetta Stone Reunion Fest (Ian Mitchell's successor band to the Bay City Rollers). Refuse to travel tour on the road because it would kill my practice---I have cases booked in Feb. & March, 2009 already---what delay in the courts? LOL I still shoot a mean game of 8-Ball, 9-Ball, Snooker or English Billiards but the eyes aren't what they used to be
  5. ~S~ Gents! Newbie to the Dogz but know several of you from other places. Glad to see some other pot-bangers here. Did someone say fishing? Me on the right with happy client after a brilliant win in Parking Violation Court. Looking forward to flying with you m8's! ~S~ and Cheers! Strider
