Should of let the Community help a long time ago. They might of finished it and made some money. -
Nice pictures, But if I don't pick English all the words are missing ;-) So what did you guys do with all those aircraft, short the 111 of course? Give them back, scrap them, Museums?

Fools Errand alright, In today's world the Wrights would of known they had come in second to a Frenchman and would of probably gave up right there,

Well if it makes you feel any better BA, if we find them over here, we can do all that short the hanging and Stoning and Just use our .40's, starting at their toes and work my way up till we find their heads. Oh and then we can hang them off the fence post Like a Catfish or Coyote Caucasus, as a sign to the rest of the wondering perps passing by. If that's too rough for your Eastern ways, then come out west so you can enjoy some of our back woods freedoms ;-)

Yeh I know and understand the native resolution stuff, Only messed with it while side tracked talking to Fruity and his 1920x1200 24" and his desire to own nothing with less resolution than that. As for the Nvidia settings, I've tried all the recommended ones I can find over at ROF site, short Nvidia Inspector ones. I'll try some of that Wed. Night and Thursday when I get back home.

Then make them do continuous community service, for the remainder of it they have left. If that don't work then just hang or stone them in public, whatever fits your fancy. http://www.warhistoryonline.com/featured-article/war-hero-85-dies-of-heart-attack-just-hours-after-finding-his-home-ransacked-by-burglars-who-took-wifes-ring.html?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=war-hero-85-dies-of-heart-attack-just-hours-after-finding-his-home-ransacked-by-burglars-who-took-wifes-ring

Did you see this vid? And this, Biggest thing I noticed on this vid is no shadow flickering on the ground. -
After combining the GTX660 with the new 27" Monitor I immediately started noticing things I hadn't with my 18"CRT I first blamed it on the difference of how the two actually work. But then got more irritated and decided it had to be chased down, I've been wrestling the new Monitor and its settings, and blaming it and almost returned it, had planned to the other day, but decided to dig deeper after a week of pulling hair and start looking for another thing to blame. So I hooked up old CRT and the same things were happening just not as noticeable, that's when I finally got out of tunnel vision. I have a surging effect in my landscape in all Flight sims, and odd color banding radiating from the sun in the Blue sky. I'd post a pick but I'm not home and I never uploaded it any were to get access to it while away. It's very noticeable in ROF, not so much in Clod or IL2, but ROF is the future so thus my concern. So far I've found one bad stick of Memory it won't even boot the machine if its in solo. And the other stick is unstable, and locks up Memory test so I tested my old sticks and they both work fine. But this did not fix the surge, so still looking. To bad I didn't start hunting it down last week, I could of just got them replaced from New egg, but now there 5 days out of return policy. While testing I noticed I could force the resolution to 1920x1200 with Nvidia custom settings, and it actually worked. 1920x1200 1920x1080 for comparison Hell I could even get it to run 2560x1440 too, but it cut my fps in half lol And it doesn't really help with IQ either, most likely because it doesn't have enough actual pixels to make it work properly. I posted over at EVGA and a guy mentioned he thought it was a drivers issue. I'd already updated from the 310.70 to the 310.90 and had wiped all traces of the old drivers with the GTX260 previously being installed. via Driver Cleaner Driver Fusion, and Safe mode. Come to find out I was still getting traces of the 306.21 version showing up in control panel. I had to manually kill it in regedi and safe mode, and dual boot from XP and delete all traces of Nvidia from my Win7 folders. Once done I have drivers in and working properly with no surging. Here are some screen shots of test results before with surging and after. Before notice my 3d section is quite low. 3D Mark 11 score before http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/5579850 Here is my results after getting everything working. I have an I5 listed there to compare to running the 660 just for reference and my old original score on there to expose the gains. Now the funny thing is with the drivers installed, and it pushing the 3d graphics as it should I can no longer fool the GPU and Monitor to run out of range. 1920x1200 that tells me if you had some real smarts you could adjust something in the drivers to fool this setup again. If I could I'd be happy with it, because it gave me more view and better clarity. The next jump up is to go to 120-1444hrz monitor still stuck at 1080, at about $200-250 more, or to get one that does 2560x1440 for about $400+ But after seeing this one I'm not sure a TN Panel no matter its speed can produce Colors any a where as close as the CRT did. l could fall back to a 24" 1920x1200 IPS panel for superb colors, but not quite as fast refresh and input lag as some of the TN panels. For the same money as I've already invested in the 27" You can get a 1920x1200 TN panel from $150 - $250 quite easily though. I sent in for a Return RMA yesterday, just so I have that angle available, before my 30 days run out. This gained me 2 more weeks to get it to them. When I get home I'm going to do some more tweaking, Because to send it back it cost $45 to put it back in stock plus the cost of shipping to return it, and I don't know what that will be till I check. But I bet it's at least $30 with insurance. And on a $300 monitor I'm thinking that's a pretty big hit, If I want out of it, I should just try and sell it or live with it for a year or so looking for price drops on the better technology. So Any thoughts I can ponder till I get home?

I'm able to clean up IL2 pretty dang good even with this 27" without inspector, I fooled with it, but its still the pixel size itself that I'm seeing. I'm going to start a new thread and quit Hijacking this one.

Mayhem I used HDMI cable, the TV IIRC didn't have a DVI connector it had a VGA Also the 27" I have is 1080 not 1200. What was the model you have again. I sent in for a return RMA on this one, and as soon as I get home its going back, for being too graininy and displaying the sky blues in odd shades and rings around the sun.

I wonder how long she will last down there there, now that she's been found. http://www.warhistoryonline.com/featured-article/the-b-17-black-jack-she-lies-in-deep-water-on-the-seabed.html?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-b-17-black-jack-she-lies-in-deep-water-on-the-seabed

So when you having a fry Arthur? Heck I'd be willing to hot grease some tasty foods in it just to go back in time, so to speak. Carve out a clean section of if from inside, and get to cooking. I read this earlier today about the Spitfires. Both articles are dated today, but? http://www.warhistor...ch-has-hit-snag

This was the 39 Inch I tried also a Black Friday deal but I took it back as mentioned earlier in the post. I apparently failed on my TV and Gaming research. I could use a little more detail on yours, Model number and such. I wasn't able to get that high of resolution out of this one, nore this 27 monitor 1920x1080 is all I can get. The monitor was $300 and I still have time to send it back to Newegg, for a refund, so I can get something with more capability. I am not totally happy being stuck at 1080. As you can see my viewing distance is quite close. The 27" does slip further back into the desk another 16" and it helps but it is still a bit grainy for my taste. Unless I take off my glasses but then I can't read anything LOL. You will also notice I'm using a combination of three sticks. X-45, X-52, and Microsoft forcefeedback. I use the MMFB for flying, the X-45 for throttle and its stick and the X-52 are button bays, and added axis. I only payed full price for the X-45 8+ years ago and it was a Christmas present. I paid 12 buck IIRC for the X-52 like new used at a Fleamarket, and 12 also for the MFFB same place. I also have CH pedals also years ago as a Christmas present. If your going cheap on sticks this is the most efficient system for quality and price. The MMFB is a must, for precise reliable control, all the rest can be just about anything you can get cheap, since its only buttons and axis requirements.

Welcome OverDhill! LOL it looks like its too late for the disclaimer. I'm curious about your setup, I tested the UDP thing a few years ago, but the gauges lagged behind too much for me to get serious about building a pit for it. So I backed off all the work and hardware to manage it. Also curious about your TV I tried a 39 120 hrz Samsung a month or so ago and I couldn't get it to work well Either, So I dropped back and bought a 27" monitor, and it's just barely acceptable picture for 1080 at my viewing distance, I really wanted my my dash gauges life size, is why I tried a TV. The 240mhz tv are a bit out of my price range, and I doubt they have any better picture either due to the 1080 restriction. Oh I'm using the same gpu for the most part. Mine is GTX660 ti 3g

Howdy Faustnik Welcome to the pound. Been awhile, it appears you have an accident since we last spoke, sorry to hear that. Hope it didn't involve the Bass Boat, are you still fishing? I don't much anymore due to the expense of it, (I need to move closer to the water)and this past time is so much cheaper in the long run. My work schedule doesn't allow me the time to SEOW on Sundays usually, but this time I'll be able to participate in some form, I'm going to be off work for a few weeks next Month for a knee replacement. Not looking forward to the pain of all that but the time off work will be nice, I think ? Hope you have a long enjoyable time with us.

Now if this was at the Arcade I wouldn't come home till all my tokens were gone just like I used too. LOL
