  1. If your 52 or 45 throttle is still good, get the Microsoft stick. You will not regret it, I'm using three sticks including pedals. The Saitek 45 is my throttle, and the its stick and all the 52 are for straight button commands, and added axis. Ignore the big screen it was a test today and it failed, Samsung 39" tv 1080p. I was too close to it and it ended up too grainy and it loaded trees in slower than may CRT, so I took it back. It was cool having the panel life size though, as I was hoping. Maybe in a couple more years they will have something out with higher resolution. Going to research 27" monitors now instead. I'm hoping 1080 will not be grainy sitting so close to it like I do.
  2. WB OB And Yeh that should do it.
  3. http://www.warhistoryonline.com/ https://www.facebook.com/wrhstol This one hits home a bit. http://www.warhistoryonline.com/war-articles/language-legacy-of-world-war-one-how-words-like-binge-drink-washed-up-and-cushy-started-in-the-trenches.html I find myself using slang from our time together in my everyday life, so it continues to spread like a virus LOL
  4. Tell them to send the ticket and they can have me
  5. Copied from Facebook Several Virtual Pilots were involved in this, including me. But the credit all goes to Mystic Puma and Monguse Short the obvious fact The Veterans! Neil Pugh CHECKERTAILS PART 2 Well here it is. Five years on from a late-night conversation with Ralph "Monguse" Gimenez, in which he uttered the now immortal words to me "have you ever heard of 'The Checkertail Clan'?" here is Part 2 of my self-made Documentary on the 325th Fighter Group "The Checkertail Clan".. Part 1 which can be found at the same Vimeo site as Part 2 tells the story of the Fighter Group's formative days from activation, to flying the P-40's and rotation into the P-47 Thunderbolt. I have deleted the link (here) to Part 1 as Facebook ignored the link to Part 2!!! Part 2 continues their story, detailing the transfer to P-51 Mustang's and covers the missions flown, the personal stories that affected the men, the anecdotes they recall of their service with the 325th, and all of it told intheir own words. Narrated by Professional actor Gary Bullock this film records the history of those men who served with the Checkertail Clan in World War 2. With never before seen interviews, original archive footage and images (again many never seen before), my journey across the United States has proved to be as rich and fruitful (while also sometimes frustrating) as I could have wished for and I present their story for anyone interested in WW2 history, to view completely for free. You can either watch the online version at Vimeo or download a DVD image, which you can burn and watch on your DVD or Blu-Ray player at home. To watch the online version at Vimeo, just click this link at the end of this introduction. If you look under the video on the Vimeo page I have also given the option to download the video file from Vimeo and watch on your own media playing device. The DVD disk image is a Dual Layer disk and 7.54GB in size (once extracted from the files) which can be downloaded at the end of this introduction (I had to split it into Four Files to upload). Download all four parts, double-click Part 1 and it will ask you where you want to extract it to. Choose a location and let it extract the file. Once done, open your DVD burning software, choose "Burn Disk Image" (or similar phrase), select the newly extracted file called "CHECKERTAILS_PART_2" or "CHECKERTAILS_PART_2.iso and burn it to your blank Dual Layer DVD. You can then watch it on your home DVD player. I have made the disk image Region Free so it can be viewed on any countries DVD player. This disk has been made for free, I have done it all in my spare time. I have done it for fun but also so that veterans and families (as-well as all of you interested in WW2 History) will have a permanent record for future generations to hear the stories of these great men who served in WW2, in their own voices. All I would ask is that you share the link, DVD, video files with as many people as you can as the whole purpose has been to tell their story and share their knowledge with others. Please understand, every person who helped and is listed in the credits has done so for free, in their own time and all to honour these Veterans. Gary Bullock, knew Gordon McDaniel (a 5-in-a-day Ace) and it was by chance that we hooked up and once he saw what I was doing, he readily jumped onboard with the project and offered to re-write my amateur script and make it what you hear presented in this feature. The film runs for two-hours and thirty-six minutes and covers D-Day, Operation Dragoon, First flights, training, losses of friends, specific missions....the list is endless. I hope you enjoy the feature, and if you do please leave feedback as I hope you can spare me a few moments to pass on your thoughts. One final disclaimer I have to make. I have tried my best to identify Luftwaffe Units taking part in the action during specific events in this feature. Please remember this is the history of the Checkertail Clan, and while I have tried my best to make the Luftwaffe units accurate, I haven't got an unlimited amount of time and so I have just done my best. While much of this feature is related to the Checkertail Victories, it is not exclusive and does cover their losses too. I realise the Luftwaffe did score victories against the 325th, but that is a Luftwaffe story and if someone wants to make their own film, then I await to see that with relish. For now I present Part 2 of my Documentary, thanks for taking the time to either download or watch it online. I would like to thank the Virtual 352nd Fighter Group (especially 352nd_ Persecutor) for hosting the files for the DVD. If anyone is able to download and create a Mirror for the files or a torrent I would be grateful and add them to this post so others can get the files quickly too. Best wishes, Neil "Mysticpuma" Pugh Watch the film online at my Vimeo Channel here: Download the DVD image files here: http://www.352ndfg.c...lease.part1.exe http://www.352ndfg.c...lease.part2.rar http://www.352ndfg.c...lease.part3.rar http://www.352ndfg.c...lease.part4.rar

  16. I've taken the quiz again so I could write my numbers down. 78% Libertarian<--------------Who Me OMG I had no Idea 69% Republican 16% Green 16% Democrat I'm not sure what the hell happened, but I see the numbers on this one till after I voted. But the other link had me before I voted, in slight favor of Obama but since I don't trust the man I voted against him. After taking this quiz and grabbing the numbers, I feel it represents my thoughts much better than the other link, and I'm glad I didn't trust the guy and voted with my stance. I really thought I was more split between Rep-Dem I'd forgotten all about the Lib's
  17. Ah SOD it I'm going to start working on my accent, and go live with nutcases with some real experience at it.
  18. Saw a Doe and a 8 point Buck tonight both within Bow range, I might regret later not taking the Doe for Meat, but the Buck has a couple years to go before its a trophy if it can survive that long. As for politics its to late to get mad, its just time to start planning on getting even. So the way I see it for the Republican party to get back in the Drivers seat they have to come up with a Middle to lower class Latino Moderate pro choice Spend more money than we have, borrow from China if need be promote growth Be willing to kill our enemies any where any time with surgical strikes Then apologies for our actions. Be sure to clean up Afganistan/war theater and get our troops home but yet at the same time reduce our military to save the money we borrowed So we can have a Government Healthcare system. Then Rob our elderly of their Social Security and health care even though they payed their taxes all their lives. With the money saved we can. Open our borders to all immigrants, with open arms, food stamps, health benefits, ect. at the cost of the few working tax payers left. Restrict our gun rights down to nearly nothing if your a law abiding citizen that is Oh and let Gay's and lesbians marry each other so they bread them self out of existence LOL I'm thinking it should be a piece of cake since we have 4 years to look for him/her
  19. Nice! I know what your talking about. You get the feel in your seat of your pants, unlike in the game. I bet they wouldn't all that nice to me over there though.;-)
  20. I think anyone tha would build a cross traffic road so close to a runway screwed up big time. Vice Versa anyone building an airstrip so close to a crossing road screwed up big time. It looks like they need to make a change there. The Pilot was just trying to use all of the runway as he should, So to solve it the runway needs to be shortened to allow more ground clearance over the road.
  21. You got to have the trees for the wood to cook your kill over ding ding Duh! I was a Dem by 13% up to the Gun question and the following ones. After those questions it went to a 18% lead Republican. Looks like I live in the right State it went Republican for the most part. It would of went Republican for Senate had the Dumb Ass Akin hadn't stayed in the Race.
