The only thing that really scares me is the dam Mission Editor. I've spent a few hours this week trying to get my dam head around it. I'm worried its interface will be carried on into this project.

This a copy paste from a post I made years ago. My settings as of now are a complete work in progress and 4.11 I have yet to come up with something I like let alone worth sharing. I still have this same setup, short I've added a X-52 to the mix for more buttons and axis availability, and avoiding using Modes. This is what you have in config file when you have the X-45 and CH Pro USB pedal combination. At least this is true for T_O_A_D's machine with Win XP Pro. If yours is different then set one line at a time to all zeros. Save file then start game and find out which axis is now dead. Once you know which line affect what axis your on your way. Thanks Propnut Dad has all the tools to do this and I have some old rusty skills If I can get my head around the electronics, I would like to try something similar. I finally have a machine that plays ROF like it should be seen, so I'm getting a bit more amped up about simming again.

I used to have my x-45 in mode setup like what you have there. I often found my self once basically remembering it all, but during transitions from battle -bombing-landing etc. being in the wrong mode and causing myself havoc. That's why I have three sticks and the keyboard now and they are all labeled. So I only have one Mode LOL I've been lucky and keeping my eyes open over the years and collected used ones, for pennies on the dollar. MFFB $13-$25 and I have three now collected, and two for spares. X-45 $13 spare in closet and my original one still in use it was $70 IIRC X-52 $13 in use Ch pedals $120 IIRRC G15 $50 IIRC TrackIr 3pro $130 purchased it new myself My Ch pedals, and and the X-45, and Logitech G15 Gaming keyboard are the only things that were purchased new, but I got them as Christmas Gifts, so in a way it felt like I didn't pay for them

Soon there will be no need for anyone with skills, then what will we do ;-)

Again, she tried to make the step only to discover she still couldn't. So, a little more embarrassed, she once again reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little more. For the second time, attempted the step, and, once again, much to her chagrin, she could not raise her leg. With little smile to the driver, she again reached behind to unzip a little more and again was unable to make the step. About this time, a large Texan who was standing behind her picked her up easily by the waist and placed her gently on the step of the bus. She went ballistic and turned to the would-be Samaritan and screeched, "How dare you touch my body! I don't even know who you are!' The Texan smiled and drawled, "Well, ma'am, normally I would agree with you, but after you unzipped my fly three times, I kinda figured we was friends."
