Sunset on the beach last night. Is this the end of our Indian summer? It's several degrees colder this morning and now raining for the first time in a fortnight.
  2. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4715610341 Day three......still downloading. Wassit' like then?
  3. This looks like a lot of fun. 2 Seaters anyone?
  4. 'Boy' is alive and well and still living in Cornwall. One of my mates saw him in the chippy at Mullion last week!
  5. Soon #2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=3&v=s2CzfYwDQps
  6. I voted not interested in purchasing this product. But I might be in the future. Who knows? Very much looking forward to the imminent release of DCS Edge 1.5 though with the game moving to DX11 and the Mig getting a 6dof cockpit. Might even spur me on to spending three or four evenings remapping my keys - again!!
  7. That's the minimum specs Snacko. The recommended ones say 16!!
  8. Not sure what all that means either. I tend to go by clock speed so we're talking 3.6ghz + for the processor, a GTX780 and 16gig of ram!!! I'd say thats a toughie for anyone outside of North America and Western Europe.
  9. Wow, check out the recommended specs for DCS 2.0; Minimum system requirements: OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Core i3; RAM: 8 GB; Free hard disk space: 30 GB; Video: 2 GB RAM card, DirectX11 - compatible;requires internet activation. Recommended system requirements: OS 64-bit Windows 7/8/10; DirectX11; CPU: Core i5+; RAM: 16GB; Hard disk space: 30 GB; Video: NVIDIA GeForce GTX780 / ATI R9 290 DirectX11 or better; Joystick; requires internet activation. Thats pretty stiff!
  10. Note to self; Leave my lovely, straightforward, reliable, recognizable Win7 install well alone until absolutely neccessary!
  11. I've got a MSFFB2 and I put cannon and mg together on the trigger. I do this because I'm not a great shot frankly and if you're going to open fire well why not give 'em everything you've got?
  12. Think I'm going to wait on user reviews and one of DCS's frequent sales before buying this map.
  13. Does this mean DCS 2.0 with EDGE will be released in November? The ED information seems slightly vague. Hope so.
  14. Since I don't 'ave no Facebook I can't seem to see the vid but this does allow me to butt in here in an off-topic sort of way and say "Allegedly" is a very good word to use in relation to Agincourt. A couple of years back I had to create a half-term project on Agincourt for nine year olds. What became immediately apparent was how little factual information exists about the battle. For a start it hardly registers on French historical consciousness and we don't really know for sure exactly when and where it took place, who was there, how long it lasted and what actually happened. The only reliable written sources are for the abnormal number - for a medieval battle - of French nobles who died sudden deaths around this date and which ones we carted off back to blighty for ransom. Everything thing else is down to Shakespeare who was the Steven Speilberg of the sixteenth century and we know relatively bugger-all about him too! I'll go back to sleep now.............
  15. Congratulations FT Very well deserved too. I note that you have spent all day doing a cut and shut on the breakdown truck, lol. I find it hard to pull your leg over this as I'm an active member of two RC helicopter forums and I've spent most of this rather nice Saturday in early autumn trying to breathe life back into one of my micro helis. I believe its a man thing
  16. Fifty-four! Thats a lot of lipo's to charge up!
  17. This just makes me proud to be British on oh so many levels

Thanks for the offer chaps but one of my mates has now made the pick up. 'Course its now turning into a major conspiracy of boys toys. My new chopper is safely tucked away at my mates house and awaits collection at my conveniance. This morning a full Yoshimura exhaust system for my mates GSXR600 was delivered to my house.......and is safely tucked away, etc, etc.
  19. Yes it is. Agree completely. Is this art or engineering?

The quadcopter is a piece of the proverbial to fly. By its very nature its incredibly stable compared to the choppers. The main problem is still trying to avoid the temptation to boost the throttle and watch it go straight up and out of radio contact . I've just upgraded the camera on it too but frankly sonny boy has been much more interested in his bike, his football and his Lego this summer. I, on the other hand, have just scored myself one of these; http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__38126__Walkera_V450D03_Flybarless_Helicopter_with_6_axis_Gyro_Mode_2_RTF_.html from evilbay. Of course, this is just between you, me and the DangerDogz. No need for wifey to know yet. I've just got to figure out a way to collect it from its present owner in West Bromwich and smuggle it into the house

Despite several attempts with the puncture repair kit it has become obvious that our inflatable kayak is a goner. On Thursday I succumbed to temptation and drove up to Taunton and got myself this; Its a beauty - the only problem being it won't fit on the roof of my VW Golf safely so when we want to use our kayaks I'll have to borrow eldest son's 'orrible Peugeot. Incredibly, yesterday the sun returned so we were able to have a play with some other summer layabouts of my acquaintance on Branscombe beach. Maiden voyage; Wifey is the front seater, lol.
