  1. I thought I'd start this thread in an effort to see what we've all got between us in the way of BoX coops so far. I've been hosting these made by Tx_Tips TipsCoOPs Pack One Updated.zip TipsCoOPs Pack Two Updated.zip These are fairly straightforward missions with er...brief briefings but some planes have an airstart option. TipsCoOPs Pack One Updated.zip They contain Stalingrad and Moscow maps and plane sets. I've also got these made by SYN_Vander which are in effect a mini campaign for the Kuban map. SYN_Cooperative_Kuban_v4.zip https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/30922-the-syndicate-corner/?page=3 With the exception of mission #4 they all contain at least one type of aircraft from the BoS planeset. They also come with a full brief and mission map. The BoX coop system seems to work very well - once you've got your ports sorted.. I've made a video and posted it in the rough and ready guide about hosting coops but briefly; download these into C:\Program Files (x86)\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\Multiplayer\Cooperative start the game in online mode, click on multiplayer, select coops and then click on create server. You should then see and be able to select these missions in your coop folder. When you launch the mission you are actually putting a coop up but you will be able to fly these missions on your own. I wonder if this is a way for those Dogz who only have Battle of Stalingrad to have a play on the Kuban and Moscow maps at their leisure? In theory this should work as the game is being launched in multiplayer mode where all maps are available? What we really need to be able to do is edit these coops in the mission editor and replace the Kuban planes with Stalingrad planes so we can have as many Dogz participating as possible. I know this is doable using the editor, I'm just a bit stumped as to how at present Also; linky to section of the BoS forum where these - and others - are being posted https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/113-multiplayer-missions-co-op-and-dogfight/ Any other coops people have - especially those succesfully generated using the campaign system or PWCG - please don't hesitate to post them here
  2. Detcord - not the most prolific but certainly the most talented skinner in BoX at the moment - imho https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/30152-dets-hangar/
  3. Does that renaming the meta shaders file and let the game rebuild another one really help? I've certainly got the lime-green trees.......
  4. Give me an hour to finish waxing my legs Sweper and I'll be on T/S and we can run through some set up and control settings for you.
  5. While I remember; BoS user manual as the link I've posted from the BoX forum is dead..... IL2_BOS_Manual_English_1011_rev1.zip
  6. It's in; C:\Program Files (x86)\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\input Make a copy of the input folder and keep it somewhere safe!

Brilliant re-texturing of the Moscow autumn map - mostly brown mate! - with greens from Kuban to give a summer map for Moscow. Enable using JSGME. In mods on mode select Moscow Autumn map and.....it's green!
  12. Yep!
  13. Why aren't you working on your Swordfish? () Edit; thirty year old Revell kit? Thats going to be as rough as old boots FT. How much filler and sand paper have you got?
  14. Hi Fen. Preload radius is 60000. i saw that post over on the DCS forums. I'll reduce the textures too but I think an investment in some more ram might be a good idea. What do you make of this memory leak business? Is this confirmed by the DCS devs or is it just another part of the mud-slinging that DCS seems to attract?
  15. Bodenplatte 'planes taking shape Seems we're going to get LF/HF versions too! and more of these....the seventh version of the '109 to appear in this sim and most significant of all and a nice surprise...because this has been made by a sub-contract modelling team
  16. 12gigs of so so DDR3 and an nvidia 970.
  17. Ran DCS and found my assignments have not changed. Also came across a post in the DCS forum about making sure VR options are unchecked as having them on reduces performance. Did this and the game does run rather better than before. Looks good too but I seem to get occasional lock ups for several seconds at a time or the game will go through a big period of stuttering before settling down again.
  18. Really? Downloaded it last night but haven't run it yet.......
  19. Wow!
  20. BoS coop last night. Great fun. It should be noted that neither Bongo nor Fenrir had icons on!!!
  21. Looks really good. I think it might be time to ditch Reshade.
  22. Very nice! Are you using SweetFX/Reshade with this Sid?
  23. What to do on a rainy Bank holiday Monday? How about some BoX coops? With thanks to Jabo and Fruitbat for confirming my ports are open and apologies to FT for the casual slander at the 6 minute mark! Later on in the day we managed a further session involving Sid, AP and Wingflyr - who are both a long way over the other side of the pond from me - a pretty good stress test. It all seems to run pretty smoothly. At 10 minutes in we get a server message about multiplayer overload. I think I've traced the problem - at this time I'm hosting the coop, running teamspeak and uploading the above video to YouTube. In the next room my youngest son is involved with his mates in some Xbox shoot 'em up whilst also Facetiming one of his brothers on his phone and my wife is in the kitchen watching BBC iplayer on a laptop. All through one router Hopefully Fruitbat has got hosting up and running too.
