Wow, here's one for Sid https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/168-developer-diary/?page=5&tab=comments#comment-632657 They don't like doing things by halves, do they?

Killing Joke? Bloody hell FT! I saw them at Elephant Fayre in Cornwall in the summer of '85. Apparently this is considered their best ever live gig......but I thought they were crap. Probably not helped by it raining all evening. The following night New Model Army headlined and I thought they were better but they were cut short by a power failure. For pure eighties nostalgia here's the Cure at Glastonbury the following summer. They came on stage during a lightning storm over the site, then the rain stopped, the lasers on the top of the pyramid stage started up and the moon came out......... Edit; excellent news Crash. Hopefully these guys can start work on my Mosquito next!

Just tried it in a quick mission. Didn't have any trouble getting it in the air. I just pressed the engine start key and let it do its thing. No need to start engines individually either. When both engines were running I increased the mixture to 100% for take off power, gave it 15 degrees of flap, ran the engines up on the brakes and then let it wander into the air....eventually. Have you got "warmed up engine" enabled in your custom difficulty option?

Ahhh....I did wonder if this happened. OK, good news. I've also edited my post above to add a total of four Dangerdogz friendly coop missions. I'll add some more soon and do that tutorial on the mission editor. However, luckily my middle son has reminded me - just in time - that today is my twentieth wedding anniversary.............. FOOK!!!!! I'd better get on that case now! -

Quick test. dangerdogz coop 001.zip 'Kin 'ell, it works!! Luckily I'm "working from home" this arvo @Crash; as requested - click on the link above and download into your coop file as per the instructions in my first post and you'll have a SYN_Vander Kuban map coop converted to Battle of Stalingrad planeset which means everyone can fly something. I'll get more up this week and put them in the vault too. I'll also try and do a tutorial on plane-swapping using the mission editor. Also, anyone who just has Battle of Stalingrad; I'm really curious if you can run this as a coop in your game. You don't need to fiddle with port-forwarding - just see if you can create and launch this coop. Again, see the first post in this thread. dangerdogz coop 002.zip dangerdogz coop 003.zip dangerdogz coop 004.zip -

Excellent read and piccies!!! Will now be following you on strava BluBear @Sweper Most of Twelve O'clock High was filmed in the well known English county of Florida -
Possibly. He's received the money ok. Phew!
-
That looks like what he's looking for. Crash, for IL2 BoS you need to open ports 28000 and 28001 in both UDP and TCP.

Launched my $300USD into the ether tonight. Around the end of July I should receive either a parcel from the Ukraine or a visit from UK Border Force!
-
Welllllllll..........like I said, I'm going to treat myself, so this unit will come in at $300US including delivery. Mine will be slightly different in that I'm having this throttle handle fitted The guy who makes this stuff is called Vitaly and he's in the Ukraine. He's been doing this for a while now and has established a solid reputation for quality and delivery. Of course, being in the Ukraine means no PayPal or credit card payment - and the protections you get from them as a purchaser - so I'm going to be operating on trust and doing a credit transfer into his bank account. Take a look at some of his other work; https://www.youtube.com/user/GVL224/videos and the thread on the BoS forums; https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/23758-iron-mechanic-throttle-motor-control-axes/ FT's old Logitech G940 throttle unit has done sterling work for me for several years now and I really like having twin levers and lots of buttons but it's getting pretty spikey in its responses these days. Three hundred bucks does not really seem that much if you consider the quality of these bespoke units compared with whats available in the way of mainstream products. Also, I'm using a Microsoft FFB2 stick which is only twenty years old so I know I won't have to replace that until at least 2040, so I thought I'd blow some serious lolly on a throttle unit!
-
Not a stick but I'm seriously looking at treating myself to something like this;

Twelve minutes of strangely hypnotic anxiety I feel for that front wheel

"English? Oh christ!" Lol.

I don't have any DCS WW2 stuff apart from the Pony and I must admit I'm not considering getting anymore at the moment but for propellorless flying? Yes please. I voted for Friday.

OK, got the first four SYN_Vander coops converted to BoS aircraft and yeah, I see what you mean FT. All laid out nice and neatly. I've also converted some of TX_Tips missions and I've changed the date on one of them so it should run the summer map. Also changed the 'supporting' aircraft that appear later on in some of these missions. These are flown by the a.i. only. Fingers VERY crossed. Wouldn't mind trying some of these out tomorrow night since it's a Bank holiday weekend over here. -
If you've got Battle of Bodenplatte early access and fancy flying your Spitfire mk. XI in something a bit more involved than the QMB can provide - and you've got the Kuban map - then Mr. Jade_Monkey over on the BoS forum has reworked his excellent "Defence of Taupse docks" mission to add the mk. IX Download the zip file and open it's contents into your Data/Missions file. Fighter - Spitfire Mk. IX - Tuapse docks defense.zip
