  3. Indeed! And trim on rotaries too? Whoop!
  4. I have booked my show tickets too - Weekend pass! Woohoo!
  5. Can you give me the model Col, there's a lot of variation.
  6. Yup. Given the number of groups that have gone to the wall over the last few years, perhaps it's the flexibility within the Dogz that you can fly your 'sim of choice' that's helped us continue in the way we have. And, while we're still able to offer specific nights to all these sims, it does mean that we are offering the widest possible choice to potential new members. Most of the guys who have joined recently only fly one or two of these (which is fine) and it's only the total nutters that would try and fly a different sim (almost) every night of the week anyway...For the record, I do have all 4...ho hum.
  7. How much Col?
  8. Fly to Stanstead mate, it's the nearest major airport to Dux and I'm sure someone can pick you up on the way past. Oh, and do the big one if you possibly can.
  9. Friday thru Sunday for me.
  10. Indeed - Grrrr
  11. Phew, saw a post on FB that tickets for this had sold out at DX - a slightly panicked visit to the website and it turns out not to be the case. I’ve bought my tickets now just to be on the safe side.
  12. Spendid!
  13. Ditto
  14. JP would have had a seizure
  15. Is this what we 'tried' last night?
  16. Flying Legends tickets are now available here.
  17. I wonder if Mme Gondree is still around...Incredible that the Dogz met someone who had lived through the occupation and liberation of Caen 75 years ago.
  18. Certainly you're not likely to see so many Daks in one place again. I've been looking for rooms near Caen too - not many left and VERY expensive.
  19. The 38 DC-3s and C-47s taking part will be assembling on the turf at Duxford on the 4th & 5th June (Tuesday and Wednesday) with practice jumps and other flying on both days with the Daks setting out for Normandy around midday on the 5th along with escorting Spits and Mustangs. The paras are due to jump over the beachhead between 4 & 5pm. Anyone fancy going along to Duxford to watch the action? tickets (for either day) are £25 (including museum entry) and I'm planning to go on the Wednesday.
  20. So the moral is 'use a parachute'? lol
  21. I was talking to one of the TF devs the other day, and he was saying that this server is a HUGE asset to the community - well done FT

  23. Chris (Blubear) and I are probably the two most frequent airshow-goers from the UK dogz, usually doing some (or all) of the Duxford shows and some of the shows at Old Warden as well (the Shuttleworth Collection is based there) and there's often visiting warbirds from around the country too. If the weather's good Shuttleworth is a great venue as the curved display line means the aircraft can get in closer to the crowd and because the sun is behind you in the afternoon, the light is superb for photos! I'll put a list together for you. It'll be great to see you if you can make it over here!
