  1. Unbelievably good! Just flew one of... FlatSpinMan's BoB campaign missions and tried the 6DOF in IL-2, and that is pretty damn cool too. Worth every penny!
  2. I managed to have a load of neimoidian magnets on hand, and managed to tilt the monitor bracket a bit forward in order to fit the two neimoidian magnets above and below the bracket, just behind the proper seat. And now the Sensor sits tight on top of the new magnet. Just tested it with DCS Black Shark and I'm blown away how good, and how simple it was to setup. I did absolutely NO FAFFING around, just started it up, centred it, and then ran the game with it fine. I love the way it re-centres so perfectly. With my crappy alternative, nearly every time I re-centered my view, I had to re-centre the head tracker. Not with TrackIR, it holds centre every time.

  4. Brilliant! Just picked up my Trackir 5 from the post office and opened it up to put together. And the sensor that is supposedly to sit on top of its stand with a strong magnet, both these magnets are REPELLING each other, not attracting. Somehow... I have to reverse one of these magnets without busting anything!?!?!

  8. You put attachment=1 or attachment=2 or attachment=3, inside brackets, under every block of text you want the pic to appear under, I believe, after reading that post.

  12. Nice video indeed and amazing formation flying. See how his control stick got real sloppy as he was slowing down to land. I love stuff like that.

  14. Thanks Pooka. I remember about a year ago or so, when you used to come on TS and tell us all you bought another FFB2 off eBay. Went on for weeks. I think you and BG must of been starting your own business?

  16. Cool, thanks Rog. My boss just gave me his stick, a red-ball version, since he no longer uses it and my MS FFB Pro has lost its 15-pin gameport connector. Woot!

  18. ~S~ chaps, I managed to get my stick mits on a nice MS Force Feedback 2 stick, minus the software. Does anyone have a good link for the software or could they upload theirs to the vault please? I've tried MS website and have been unable to find the software. Cheers,

  24. Ash, I don't have an X-52, but loads here do, so they can give you good info. All I would say, since you've got a 'working' joystick I would get a head tracking system first. It really does improve the enjoyment of IL-2 immensely, compared to a new joystick. At least with a dodgy joystick + TrackIR, you can see people sneak up on you and you can do something about it. Whereas with a new X-52 and no TrackIR, you'll have a lot of buttons you could to set to HIT REFLY, since you still won't be able to see enemies sneak up you. I've just gotten some Saitek Rudder Pedals, previously I was a twister too. I still used rudder twisting a lot, previously, for shooting. But it's hard to centre the ball on aircraft that are hard to trim with a twister stick, like the Bf-109. I would say pedals would be 3rd thing to get.
