  1. I enjoyed that very much! thx for the link DT
  2. Yes, thx very much for the new forum! I have to get used to it though....
  3. Hi Marco, welcome! For a start, pick a plane with rearview mirror (Spitfire) and watch how long it takes for Delta to appear on your six
  4. Just don't tell the pilot he's flying in the wrong direction.........
  5. Ey Painless... I made a Spitfire IX /CW on a scale of 1:48...had a choice for a XVI as well, but heh, love the clipped wing model too much The company I use a lot for building models (because the detail is very good, even on small models) is Revell, a German company.... I know there's a Chinese or Japanese or something Aziën-ese out there, but have faced problems with those brands before (they are good for car/bike models though) revell Currently working on the FW 190 scale 1:32... Have a look aroun on their site, they may have bigger models, but not sure, you can always pop em a mail
  6. Thx, but I don't want to take credit for something I'm not sure off I did  Top gunner was bleeding to death, saw a redish sky after the attack.....but we lived after the belly landing, thx to Quazi!
  7. I believe it was last week when this occured, but anyway, the Belgian 350th wing celebrated their anniversary.... My house is in a flyingpath towards Brussels, where there are several military bases.... Anyway, I was laying in the grass with the wife (no hankypanky...kids were around...damn kids lol) when I heard a humm I've never heard before... And there they where, flying low in formation, silver coloured with a red colour on top of the nose...."hmm, I know that shape of that tail...could it.....the wings, yes! spitfires!!" I went crazy, yelling at my wife to look up, spitfires spitfires!! woohoo, my first ones ever seen alive!! The humm was smooth, less agressive then those pipers and cesna's flying over all the time..... One thing stroke me as odd, the cockpit was more off a teardropshape then the one I'm used to from pic's... To less time to take a pic, so I got to rely on the picture burned on my eye and in my mind forever... According to BG they might have been Mk24's....I'll never be the same... PS; keep me chained in Duxford next year, cause I might go crazy!! I feel like I have a bound with it, crazy isn't it?
  8. Where in the hell did you find the word "klootzak", and did you know what it meant...LMAO Great work! And thx to all who flew till the wee hours with me, I had great fun, especially the loooong dogfight is something to repeat

    Mrs Psycho?

I'll start to worrie when both start a conversation with eachother in game......
  10. Blasphemer! As the saying goes, it's all the same color when you turn out the lights. Or maybe they were talking about something else? (Chris, keep your sheep out of this) LOL Arsenal, if you ever taste Belgian beer, you'll know what I mean

    352nd...

    I concurr with Delta....
  12. Ach, no harm done, just some Dutch beer........
  13. My settings for both are 250m, I used to play with the settings on 300/350, but switched down.... The 300/350 is before I had Tir, and was flying normal mode in combat, wide mode cruising... Since I have Tir, I cannot fly other then wide mode, to have a good sense on what's going on around me, and must admit, I'm kinda used to the rearview mirror Spittie gives me (kinda lost whitout it), but occasionally zoom in, to look for ground targets.... I'm still getting used to the shorter distance, some days its like I can't hit a barn door, and was tempted to change the settings back many times... When I'm in a distance of .3, I'll open fire with 1 sec bursts, both canon and mg.....
  14. Oww, what the hell.............sign me up for the blue team........

    Duxford pics

Maybe this link will help, this site is dedicated mostly to Spitfires, with some great pics! Unfortunatmy, it's a Belgian site, but I'm happy to translate anything you want to know! http://warbirds.be/spitfire/content.php?content.1

    Duxford pics

Great pics! Ey frior, I thought we had to wait with paying 'till something was anounced? I definatly will be there next year, so don't you forget about me!

    Well...

I knew I was missin' something..........................
  18. What did ya have to do to get such speeds BG? Dig another pond??
  19. I'm open for anything DT......I can hardly say an hour, since it's on your local time...the way the former wars where set out worked fine for everyone I guess.... Can hardly wait to see what you cooked up this time Note; I'll be on tour from the 1st till the 9th of sept......
  20. What Arsenal suggests sounds very good... I'll be regular flying again after the 9th of Sep.....hopefully.....
  21. Man, I want to live where you live........Are there still such places? Does it cost a lot? Nice pics, you remind me of an old Belgian joke.... When they find a forrest here, they cut it in half with a road, so they have two forrests, and so on and so on, Belgium is becoming a real jungle..... Q?...don't you disturb the layers to much, filtering the water, sustaining special fauna/flora? <= don't wanna sound green, but I kinda let the nature of things in my garden go it's way...
  22. I've been browsing and gazing for more then an hour! Amazing! Offcourse, the spitfire pics caught my eye, but I loved the early and the late version of the Hawker as well....I noticed the mirror on the early version, and NO mirror on the late one??? Amazing what quality they are, one can see a hair, that sharp...... Question?...the Whirlwind, is she an offspring of the Mosquito? she looks kinda like it, only much slimmer... Very happy you shared this with us BG!! I'll share some pics soon (promised) of the model I made of a Spitfire CW flown by a Polish Squadron...

    Thanks Doubletap!

Thx for a great night! I enjoyed the Hurri, though she flew and felt like the parkingbrake was still on....managed to put a leak in a few planes, and actually downed Pook in a JU-88, but I think it was due to stall probs or something...anyway, my lil bb guns weren't enough, and all the warnings told in flight school aside, went a second time head to head with.........Pook again, in the same plane......we downed eachother, clipping our wings, much more effective For the rest it was flying around, being on the wrong spot of the map (the action seemed to run away from me) 'till I found 2 109's willing to play....soon to become 4..... A great night indeed, and yes, an hour is over before you know it!
  24. Anyone seen those episodes where they "tested" this Toyota pick up in various ways?
