Very impressive Swep ! Too many great shots to mention m8. ~S~ P.

Wow ! Superb pics chaps. Crash's Mustang shot, Nick's Spitfire Mk1 shots and Arthur's Wildcat kicking up grass and "Mockba" Yak (pilot looking into the camera lense) shots are "Flypast" magazine quality. Crash, did you notice that you only just missed the aerobatic formation being in the shot as well (top left), that would have been a bonus : ) I wish I had a big lense.... ~S~ P.

If so I would like 10,000 of them with the usual DDz 10% discount but with the casing or "box" constructed of T&G 40 thou gauge transparent Ash. LOL Arthur, it's a worry being a dad ! "Every time he gets in a car I crap myself. He's just much too over confident." I'm sure I've heard Siobhan use exactly those words when talking to one of her M8's about me you know Cheers, Mick.

If you are sure that is OK then I will tell Dave that we are on for the flight at 4.30pm Tuesday. Do you know if anyone else apart from You, Swep, Crash and Nick ? is coming to stay with us on Sunday, Monday Tuesday night then ? It would be nice to know how many beds we are going to need. See you tomorrow m8's Mick.

Looks like a "must see" Arthur ! Tell your son to hold the bloody wheel correctly and to leave his bollocks alone if he wants to drive in a "sporty" manner ! LOL Great pics M8. Cheers, Mick.

Hi Arjen, Where are you now ? That's a bugger about the non refundable dam ! Siobhan seems to think that you should be able to get a refund for the Sunday ? (she used to work in a hotel on reception ) It seems to be the only way of doing the Yeovilton visit Monday and the flight Tuesday before Wednesday's trip to Kent m8. How about if you just follow me (no navigation required) and I drive at 100kmh all the way home on Sunday sweetheart xxx Dave said he could rebook the flight for as late as 7 pm on Tuesday but that would make for a very busy day if we went to Yeovilton as well. We would be watching the clock to make sure we were back in time. He is hoping to come and join us for some food at my place after he has taken us up : ) Trying to avoid any "rushing about" because I know you don't like that : ) We can finally decide on Friday face to face then I can let Dave know (via your lap top email) before the aircraft get booked up by other people. This reminds me of planning an SEOW trying to keep everyone happy ! LOL Cheers, Mick.

WOW, clever bugger !

Crash, That is kind of what I was thinking M8. We could have a bite to eat after the show on Sunday and then leave around 7pm , drive (in a relaxed manner) down to my place via the M11 . M25, A3. Only bug is the M25 may be a bit busy in places (mind you that can be the case at any time : ( On Monday we could set of at a reasonable 10am , be at Yeovilton by around 12.00. Wander around for 4 hours then be back here again for around 6- 6.30 in the evening then relax and have a drink or two. Tuesday; historic Portsmouth and Popham flight in the afternoon. Wednesday Kent..... If we are going to do that then as Nick said the Sunday night room needs to be cancelled asap. Cheers, Mick.
-
Arjen you sound like you are having a bit of a moment there m8 ?? Are you sure thats what you want to do then ? LOL Sounds like Monday would be the day to do Yeovilton but it would be a bloody long drive from Cambridge to Yeovilton to Portsmouth in one day. Not really possible I would say . It's a 3 .5 hour drive from Cambridge to Yeovilton.and a 2 hour drive from Yeovilton to my place. Staying in the Cambridge hotel on Sunday night prevents Monday being used for much more that travelling down to Portsmouth with a nearby visit on the way perhaps. A thought...........We could fit everything in including Yeovilton on Monday if we stayed at my place on Sunday night ? We could visit the Portsmouth Dockyard if you like on Tuesday then fly late afternoon and off to Kent on Wednesday. Do you want to spend any time just sitting and relaxing ? Crash what do you want to do ? Nick are you comming down as well ? Anyone else ? I have no problem with whatever you want to do but I need to let Dave know asap if he needs to cancel the flight. He already moved it from Monday to Tuesday because he did not realise that we would not be here all day Monday bless him. What do you think ? Cheers, Mick.

~S~ Chasps, Might have to modify the plan a bit because we have a flight booked for 4.30pm on Tuesday at Popham. Then some food and a drinkypoos in the DDz hut : ) We are meant to be meeting Dave, (our pilot for the afternoon) at 3.00pm and he has planned in three possibly four 15 minute flights. Hopefully the only thing that could cancel it would be the weather. How about visiting Yeovilton on Wednesday ? Cheers, Mick.

LOL TY FT ! Looking forward to hearing how you got on with HM customs and the 25 pounder case : ) Just one more pic worth posting.................. ~S~ Painless.

Greetings Tom, Nick , Chris, Carly and Jo Bloody good fun, Marc said that he didn't want the adventure to end and he was a bit sad when we arrived home . He really enjoyed the company of you fine folks both on Friday evening and on Saturday and he hopes he made a good impression . I would like to say thank you for a great weekend and for making Marc feel very included. Nice formation driving at times : ) Splendid pics BTW. Cheers, Mick

~S~ Chaps, Just a couple more pics to finish the story.............. "SCRAMBLE !!" Thats my M8 John's real Irvin jacket from 1941 that once belonged to one "L. Awl" 26 Sqn. (Still doing the research).... "You can teach monkeys to fly better than that !" ~S~ P.

~S~Chaps, All finished except for the power going in next week (I hope). A little tribute to Jim . Booze to be added on the day ! Cheers, P.

~S~ Chaps, For anyone who is intending to stay at my place post show, my M8 Dave who I go flying with has offered a short flight to my DDz M8s from Popham airfield. Kev has been up with him over the Battle of Britain memorial at Capel-le-Ferne. This would very much depend on the weather but if all is well 3 or 4 of you could go up one at a time while the rest of us watch. It would be free as I will pay for ther fuel. Please let me know if any are interested asap and I will let Dave know : ) Cheers, Mick.

~S~ Chasps, Here are a few pics showing where I am with the DDz Squadron dispersal hut.................... The outside is finished except for the front door being painted "Buckingham Green" and the inside is being painted this week. Inspiration from the 1968 film John and Roy the builders make a start It is L5m x W3m , H3m made from 18mm T&G with 3" x 2" structural timbers/ roof truss. Dry lined with marine ply with cavity Rockwool insulation. 4 x double glazed window units with two openers Finished in dark brown , roof felt with period battens and black guttering. Plenty of room for sitting outside if the weather is good. Complete with "Scramble" notice and bell (as close as I could make it to the Film version) Still working on the inside. Stable door will look much better when painted green with "DDz_Sqn" on it. Will post more when inside has progressed. So now we have our own official DDz dispersal hut, any DD welcome to chat , get drunk, or even sleep in it....... ~S~ Painless
