I have..... created a steam account installed steam from the cd installed the game from the cd updated the game via steam downloaded the ATAG mods installer (is this the Fusion patch?) from the vault Do I need to back anything up before running the .exe from the ATAG (if thats the right thing to do) Any advice / pointers welcome Friar

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr fecking Vista........ After deciding to re-install from the recovery partition of Friday evening and then spending till now to try and bring Vista up to date (its an old machine so lots of patches) it now tells me (after doing multiple updates with the machine running fine that the updates have not installed correctly and that I need to reinstall windows to activate.... Wheres that xp disk..........

its fine when i plug a network cable in gec, it finds the network etc all ok so that makes me think its the card?

no its windows that cant find the networks anyway, as i said i have bought a new card to see if its that. many thanks

thanks nick, did not think i could get to the card took out the card and re-seated, still same issue. i think i will look to picking up a new card, cant be that expensive..

dell vostro 1500 vista business sp 2 wireless card is intel pro/wireless 3945abg i am just downloading drivers from intel site now...

hello the laptop heather uses seems to have lost the will to connect to our wireless. its an internal wireless on the motherboard I assume so cant take out and replace. i have pluged in a network cable and its fine i have disabled and re-enabled in device manager i have un installed and re-installed I have updated drivers all i get is the error "windows can not find any networks" when I try a wireless connection the wireless router is fine (i have been connected to it with my work laptop all afternoon) any help welcome Friar (and Heather)
