UPDATE i left it running over night and it failed at 25% with the message "the drive has 1 or more un-recoverable errors" bootcfg /rebuild also failed to start because of a similar error.

UPDATE it has now clicked over to 2% so it is oing something. i am going to leave it running overnight and see what happens in the morning.

Guys, I am trying to recover from the error "hal.dll is either missing or corrupt". this prevents the laptop from booting. after doing some reasearch on the net i have been able to get into the recovery console. a common piece of advice was run chkdsk / r. i have tried this but it has been stuck on 1% fo hours now, something is obviously not working. should i / can i switch off or should i leave it. any advice / pointers please?

Well Psycho, Is'nt that just typical. I arrange for one of the Sisters Of Virtue to be assigned to your case, and all of a sudden all I get is "Can I have one", "me, me, please Frior", "Oh pleeeeeeese Frior, get me one" like a lot of school kids in class, all with their hand in the air when the hot young art teacher, who is fresh out of teacher training college and wears tight tops and short skirts asks for volunteers to come into the store cupboard to help sort the materials out. They all know that some of the paper is down on the bottom shelf and some is on that high shelf which is just out of her normal reach. To go into the cupboard that they all know is not quite wide enough for two people to pass each other with out squeezeing up against each other. But ask for volenteers to attend the Parish Hall for a rock-cake tasting competition, (one which Mrs Thonlinson always enters) and all I get is "ghosttownvile", silence, except for the wind whistling through the cracks in the Mess Hall windows and the sound of a lone Crow calling from a single tree.

Roger, at the risk of being incharge of an educational program focused on my mothers mother, the poultry industry and the physics of air compression as a force for pulling......... my 46 IS in its own folder. within that the triple switcher created 3 folders, one for each version. i have an icon on my desktop for each version. i click on that. it runs a batch file. i then launch the game from a desktop icon that points to the .exe within the 46 folder. the required version launches.

i have the 46 installed into its own new folder. i also have the french triple switcher installed. what i would like is some clear instructions on how to apply the beta batch and still have the switching options. i believe that quazi has done something but i am not sure if that applies to a 46 install on top of 4.05? perhaps someone could put together a consise upgrade/install map?

Ah I see the New York branch got my note and did not waste any time in sending out one of the special "Sisters of Virtue". They are differnt from the normal Sisters of the Priory. The "Sisters of Virtue" all come from good backgrounds, are well educated and have attended finishing school. They are held back and only sent out on "Special" missions.

from my records i believe that some of the objects from 4.05 have been re-numbered in 4.07 i believe that objects 442 to 465 have been re-numbered 494 - 517 442 - 462 are new buildings 463 - 467 are duplications of 432 - 436 489 - 493 are duplications of 437 - 441 468 - 493 are winter versions of 442 - 467 518 onwards are new objects Am I right ?

why is it a must for vsync enable for track ir. the graphics tweaks say to not enable it. signed confused of croydon

just checked the ubi zoo. the patch is a beta, so i think that i will wait a bit before installing it.............
