Hosted an event on the weekend with Peter MacKay, our Minister of National Defense at my hotel. Great, great guy. Really passionately committed to, and proud of, our soldiers and the effort in Afghanistan. (Before our current government took over, our soldiers were sent over with their dark green camos and driving Iltes cars (unarmoured volkswagons) against IED's.) He was in town to announce a new computer assisted rehab environment at a local hospital that will help with injured soldiers. Here is me, our Minister of National Defense and my wife. We discussed merits of invading the sovereign state of Blairgowria to obtain its vast mineral resources - but thought better of it as it is an emerging nuclear power and did not want to risk it.

this is from a movie series called Final Destination. I think this was number 3... They are actually quite cleverly done... Always starts out with a horrendous accident that 7 or 8 people avoid because one of them has a vision of the accident and saves them. Death then stalks them and kills them off in horrifying ways. It is somewhat gratuitous violence, but the series is cleverly done with lots of dark humour.
