  1. Jagr is great case in point...great skill, but it was Mario and Rick Tochett and Paul Coffee, etc who carried the teams to the cup.
  2. Rattler: was thinking the last we made it in was the 60's...but it was 86. I'm amazed by the speed of the players...but yeah, too much walking around and diving. The divers should be red carded. Problem solved. England will never will as long as they are beholden to what your coach refers to as the "virus"...aka, the WAG culture. It's like Europeans in the Stanley Cup (hockey) finals. Winning the cup is not their first priority...looking flashy and being in the highlight reals and getting the season over with is. Beckham and all are more worried about their hair and looking pretty in the tabloids.
  3. I gotta ask you guys across the pond: what's with the 'keeper's big Mickey Mouse gloves? sure, gotta be great for batting the ball away, but it can't be good for dexterity...
  4. how much?
  5. BG once buried a time capsule full of things that haven’t happened yet He is so interesting, he lives vicariously through himself.
  6. Wow... how'd you edit in the compass?
  7. BG speaks fluent French, in Russian.
  8. When BG orders a salad, he gets the dressing right there on top of the salad, where it belongs…where there is no turning back. BG's cereal never gets soggy. It sits there, staying crispy, just for him.
  9. Under BG's beard is not a chin. It's another wallet. BG has been known to cure narcolepsy, just by walking into the room. BG's organ donation card, also lists his wallet.
  10. Banker, landowner, farmer, forester, ad nauseum... I'm starting to think this is BG

  12. ack! looks like a ripoff of Boney M's "Rasputin"
  13. oh man...they dance like I do. I feel they are mocking me.
  14. first we have snow yesterday and today. then we have heavy snow and bright sun at the same time today. Then this: http://www.edmontonjournal.com/news/Moose+meander+through+Edmonton+neighbourhood/3090309/story.html This is 5 blocks from my house.
  15. feck...it's coming down big and sticking. the soccer pitch across the street from my house is white. snow in almost f*cking June. Argh.
  16. snowing here now...big huge flakes.
  17. well done Crash! First drink is on me at Duxford!

  18. Yeah, I can see it now: Painless: "where are we going? anyone read the map?" Sid: "maps are like briefs...we don't read them" Jabo: "I can't read" JP: "look at the tits on that girl" FT <in silent mode>: "what a bunch of F*&% ups"
  19. I heard that on the Queen's money, there are pictures of BG on it.
  20. Good one FT on Hill 112. There is a ceremony on July 12 there. I bet some of the vets will be there. Sid, like those as well.
  21. I was chatting with my wife today (for the first time in a month) about flying with the Dogz today (for the first time in a month). I was mentioning about how BG now has a bee farm at this place (you notice how BG mentions it as casually as we mere mortal DD's might mention we went out and got a coffee). I go on further to explain that this is the same BG who: - put up his own 300 foot wireless internet tower so that he could host and connect better (you old timers might remember he was once on <gasp!> dial up!) - has so much land that the Canadian military runs training ops on his property - has a fully operating forestry and logging mill - makes his own patio furniture (Muskoka chairs) in his spare time - has a tractor - has a front loader for digging holes and moving boulders - has a rear loader for digging holes and moving boulders - digs his own trout ponds All this above and beyond his time taken up secretly controlling the world. My wife mentions that it is cool that he has a bee farm...and that I fly on-line with Lex Luthor. Honestly, how the how else do you describe our fearless leader? I think he actually is Lex Luthor.
  22. To those brave enough to go on the Normandy tour: Painless and I were chatting about where we should go in our limited time. Painless had a great idea that we should ask in advance where we should visit besides bars and brothels. (ok, just kidding there...we are not going to any bars) From the last visit, I'd (highly) recommend: - Point du Hoc - US cemetery at Omaha - Pegasus Bridge - Longue sur Mer - Arromanches - the five landing beaches (most are just beaches, with three of them having small museums...but still, worthy to visit just to say we were there) I'd also like to recommend we visit the Commonwealth cemetery, the German cemetery and the area where the 101st airborne landed...St Mere Eglise. Maybe Caan as well? Any other thoughts gentlemen? Would really appreciate any feedback...I think it would help if we had things planned a bit in advance to see more stuff...
  23. "so she's enjoying penis a little bit more is she?" good lord, and he keeps a straight face through it all.
  24. Run Jedi, Run! Beevor mostly glosses over the air part...99% is on the ground war. Still, they are great reads. (though I have to say the Spanish Civil War was not his best work. Hard to follow...)
