Dave, How accurate do you find that thing? I have it, and I have tried some of the speeds listed and I never seem to get the same results, and I do trim out the aircrat. Some of the Japanese planes seem to go faster that he lists, and some other planes seem to go slower. I am not that good to get close to quoted figures so I only use it as rough comparison e.g. my plane can climb faster so I can use this to escape or my plane can turn quickly so its ok to try this as I usually find out when engaging- its the pilot that really counts and you shouldnt really get involved in hard turning fights as it blows your energy and leaves you vulnerable to the bandits mates. This utility will only give us a good idea of how best to use your plane against common enemies- but shouldnt make you forget the basics of SAS=SPEED -ALTITUDE-SURPRISE I read on the UBI ZOO of guys who keep it minimised so that when they go into dogfights or co-ops servers with rotating plane sets they can quickly reference this to help.

All - I fly on dogfight servers such as warclouds and A lot of squads include their squad name in their icons such as =335=name. CIA_name JG27name I use only delta7 so was wondering if we should all agree on a squad prefix for use on hyperlobby and other servers ? This would give us an identity outside the group . I think "dangerdogz_delta7" is a bit long - this tag above the aircraft will take up a lot of the screen so I would like to suggest we adopt either ddogz_name or dogz_name or dd_name I like ddogz_name I wouldnt want to make it a compulsory thing for squad members- but I think its a nice touch. Any thoughts ?

Guys I wont make it tonight or I would host. Dont know if either of you know how to host but you have a few options if no-one else shows up 1) one hosts and the other joins his pc - there are instructions on how to do this in Pacific Fighters manual - only thing to look out for is that host does NOT hit fly until after guests 2) agree a time to meet on teamspeak then agree to fly together on a regular server - UK dedicated 2 uses the same setting as our co-ops - http://www.battle-fields.com/joomla/ - Id join through hyperlobby as its easier 3) maybe BG or one of the regular hosts will show up and offer to host Ill put up a rough guide for hosting soon and that will allow people to fly together easier good luck

SATURDAY 19th FEB 2006-

I am starting this thread as a contact point for all who think they will be online and wish to join up with their squad mates. I have started off with first date below-just drop in your name and hours you think you might be online and then others can contact you and get together.

As long as plane sets are balanced and there is a choice for both the groundpounders and fighters then Im not much bothered. I prefer western front Europe but its always good to have some variety and the carrier misions of the pacific are a laugh as I try to take off :wink:

dont really like the idea of rank- why fix what isnt broke ? If the squad expands then we mght need to look at this again but I like what we have just now.

Hi great ideas about the site- I would like a diary section so that squad members can see when squad nights and times are on and also if someone wants to arrainge training or practice they could post there and others could see what and who is available. I have a shot of spitfire at an air museum so if you wish to use this as background then you could photoshop others into group in front http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v640/ ... 6_0613.jpg or here is me in front already I can send origonals if required Or we could use a screenshot from the game as background I like idea of link to each persons details the link to application page and mission statement should be easily found on main page to allow people who may be interested in joining to get this info quickly and easily Ill follow this up with more later
