I had a frame rate drop when I first installed it but I just copied over my old config file from 4.05 install into 4.07 and everything went back to normal

Guys my family have recognised my slippage into full blown obsession with warbirds and bought me a revill 1/48th scale spitfire kit for christmas. OK from gamecopyworld you want the il246[multi3]fixed.exe (4.0 mb) download. 1) in 46 main folder make a new folder and rename this backup 2) copy your 46.exe from main folder into backup 3) download the fixed.exe 4) extract using winrar to a folder ( I have a folder on my pc called "download" that I created and download everything into this. colin-here is the best guide to getting the most from your drivers http://www.tweakguides.com/NVFORCE_1.html I wouldnt set your AA or AF higher than 2* as you will suffer from frame rate drop with your card - play black death in excellent and you should hopefully get low 30s average fps at 1024*768 but you might have to drop to 800 * 600 I noticed an increase in black death in 46 when I copied my config file from my old install. I would also make sure that I dont have the text at the top describing what the AI are saying and make sure your sound settings are ok and that will help

thanks jim - the fixed exe works well - only problem is I have to go back to 1280*1024 resolution when I use it but loads faster

the native resolution on my lcd is 1280*1024 and everything looks nice and detailed at this, however the game was set up and optimised at 1024*768 and I find that I can see the dots and aircraft better at this resolution , as klinger says the iq isnt as good overall but Ill put up with this for the benifits of spotting the bandits better.

I have installed 46 into a fresh folder and kept my 4.05m install. I wish to make a nice tidy install into my 4.06 with a mod enabler so that I can make all my addons work together. see here http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/ ... 7841033605 I have BOE, oestfront and TLD and fall blue plus jumos west front all currently installed into my 4.06. and there are some conflicts so I want to solve this in my new install. My problem is that when I go to install BOE and oestfront into 46 XP recognises that they are already installed and wont allow this so I need a way to do this any help appreciated.

look at triple switcher thread mate to switch between versions if you copy your config file and used folder over everything will be as it was - see install thread mate

you should change both th 1024*768 - it will make your desktop better looking and is the recommended resolution for the game mate also try updating your video drivers to latest if you arnt already running these- what video card and drivers are you using currently ?

mine installed no problem -fresh install then copied over my old user file and config file. only had chance to compaire black death - seems the same ,no real loss in fps.

excellent sentiments deacon and I fully agree with these. I also think that you need icons for friend and foe, I have gotten used to the warclouds settings where both sides are black and friendly have pilot name whereas enemy just have plane type. I liked the settings
