If your guys are serious on a foray into the world of IL2 1946 then you have come to the right place for some inter-squad sorties, and indeed there may well be some slots open for new recruits. Although from what you were saying it sounds like there are enough of you to make a squad in your own right! I mentioned IL2 1946 because that is exclusively what we 'fly', but like some of your guys we too are awaiting Knights of the Sky..

Ordered I'm going to be cheeky and ask the guy if I can post a sample chapter, and a link to the book of course, on Honor Our Veterans - this is the sort of stuff I'm looking for by way of content.

Would one of you whipper snappers be so kind as to burn 4.08m patch to CD for a guy on dial up in the US? He posted over at the 'zoo In this post and I suggested a Dog would be more than happy to oblige. He has PM'd me and I suggested he drop in here, goes by the call sign dlg26. Nice find Jim. The ftp option is very handy Remember there is an ftp account for this server, useful for when a file size is over 10mb. If you do use ftp to send files to our server I have set it so they are placed in the import folder for our vault. I re-installed Vista Ultimate last night, and will attempt to get IL2 to run in it, not keeping my hopes up though.

Thanks m8 I have to use IE from time to time, to make sure any web work I do is ok. But firefox does it for me 99.9% of the time . I see the spell check is back huzzah!

I don't mind paying my dues, but did you have to itemise every single one of them? And charge 'em separately (and with a horrifyingly full account) to my credit card so it showed on the bill my wife found?

errr.... OK I confess...I have FSX...errr...Deluxe too. Graphicaly it is better than 2004, which I also have, and runs pretty smoothly too. Not tried it since I upgraded to FX60 CPU, and haven't tried it under Vista Ultimate (the FSX box says it runs better under Vista but I haven't got around to re-installing Vista to judge). Training missions seem a lot better, the helicopter one (which is the main reason why I have FSX) is actually quite good. ../Slinks off into the dark corner over yonder
