  1. lol humour running true to form here I'm awaiting re-activation of my account for the campaign, and I am sure it will be fixed imminently as Oscar does a stirling job.
  2. Welcome Bear Thanks for the increased work load, 'recruiting thingy wouldn't work', sheesh.....
  3. If you also fire up a cmd prompt and do the following it stays gone: Regsvr32 /U Msimtf.dll Regsvr32 /U Msctf.dll See: Microsofts own article on this
  4. New drive time, and a chance to experiment with Knoppix if you need to recover any data...
  5. Aborting check disk will not cause damage, however it needs to be run. Sounds like your disk has suffered physical failure, and will need to be replaced. There are several utilities that can be used to recover data if the disk is readable. Knoppix is pretty good, but the other distros also have live CDs. As this is an XP laptop I will assume it is ntfs formatted, so you won't be able to read from a dos boot disk. Knoppix will mount the disk, if readable, and should also be able to get the network up and running for file transfer. Alternatively Knoppix can read and write to USB drives, easier if they are plugged in when you boot.
  6. Mmmm, any of those over here in the UK Frior? Not for me you understand....;)
  7. Excellent read again Enforcer, well worth the time you put into it!
  8. You can get 240V -> 110V transformers quite readily here in the UK. If you have problems PM me and I'll see what I can arrange, we have a few US airbases in my area and these transformers are sold by a few shops. Blairgowrie was going to email you btw .
  9. And use the air brake....it becomes a stabilzer
  10. Costs were: Buying DVD: £17.99 Post: £2.07 (And yes that includes shipping to the US/Canada ) Total cost: £20.06 http://www.xe.com converts that to: 39.59 USD 46.12 CAD I'm way too cheap, or so my wife tells me.....
  11. Go to this Page here and you will find out how to switch 'twixt 4.04, 4.05 and 4.07 . If on dial up I'm sure one of the NA K9ers will post a CD for you...
  12. Thanks for the update Deacon. My eyes will be peeled
  13. Yes Mr. Rattler sir, payment recieved OK Bg's payment was missing quite a few zeros though, about 6 in total before the decimal point!!!
  14. If you need any help just let me know
  15. Hi Colin. Our host, hostgator, is excellent and very good value. They do a 'baby' package for $6.95 (paid yearly) and has the following: t,Disk Space 50,000mb (50gb). Bandwidth 200,000mb (200gb) Per Month. By comparison we have 200Gb of space and 2000Gb of bandwidth per month (or will have when we get upgraded for free later this year). I have my own account with them, and that server is on the new size and quotas. Downside with Hostgator is they don't register .co.uk domains, but one can be registered elsewhere and pointed at hostgator server. Fasthosts is a popular UK host, but my experience of them has not been good. Poor service and poor support. 1 and 1 Internet however are good, good service and good support (at least for the higher end packages) and are worth having a look at. Some links for you: Hostgator 1 and 1 Internet
  16. Welcome M8, glad it got there safe and sound
  17. I sit, stand and lay corrected. Your Grandmother would do well to listen to you . How embarrassing for me, I will now go out and do the decent thing. Will a .177 air pistol suffice?
  18. Bloody hell Kelly, you alright? Must be having one heck of an off day...
  19. The triple switcher only works on a merged install. '46 by default will install in stand-alone, you have to point the installer to install in your existing 4.05M folder for a merged install. If you have already installed as a stand-alone you have three options: 1. Keep as is and use different icons and the old switcher for 4.07 and 40.4/4.05M. 2. Remove '46 install and re-install in 4.05M folder to obtain 4.07M then use triple switcher. 3. Cancel Broadband account and never be heard from again. One of the above is a joke, I can't see any one using that much disk space needlessly...
  20. Good to see you around Sloan Shame the internet doesn't quite stretch all the way to your home, but then you probably have a relationship now ;)
  21. Sounds like the panel, usually when a GPU goes off line the pannel/screen gives you an error message to that effect.
  22. Phew! Was starting to get worried, glad it arrived safely . Customs OK with it?
  23. Thanks for the post Deacon, I know I can say that the K9'ers are looking forward to this as much as the 352nd. On the positive side, the teething troubles having been experienced we are now in a much better position to get this working smoothly. ~S~ to all at the 352nd for their efforts too .
  24. Sigh....where is the Sheep portfolio to keep the others happy?!!
