  1. Hi Glenn. Have you confirmed that the windowz firewall is off? Nope. Also no. Umm no, I think. Dell would connect via 192.168.0.4:21000 Err, no your router is acting as DNS proxy, it resolves local name lookups by querying the DNS servers [i[it's configured with[/i] Only so far as lag/playability are concerned, as this determines the packet scheduling for clients....when it's a server. You can join hosted games OK? So it's not that there is more than one network interface configured? Double check the IL2Setup network tab, and ensure it is using the right interface/address.
  2. Thanks M8, nice to see history like this. Amazing that his kit bag and mess kit are still there, and the tin of negatives sounds fascinating.
  3. Umm. This time travelling stuff.... Last week we in the UK were 5 hours ahead of EST, today we are now 6 hours ahead. Ergo if flying times remain the same, UK will be joining @ 9 (21:00) instead of 8 (20:00) At least it's only for a week.....
  4. :crybaby:  I didn't know that.....but I do now. Must brush up on my reading skills!
  5. 13:50, heavy landing though (still alive) does that count?
  6. Dave, can we clarify the mission brief? I read it as one rocket release per sweep, however it could be one salvo (4 releases) per sweep. Did I read it correctly as one release per sweep?
  7. I've been increasing my convergence steadily, I too started out at 200 before I decreased it (thinking it would help lol). My convergence is now at 600, and I think it still needs to go out as Dave suggested. The ground pounding mission demonstrated to me again that I need to increase it, when shooting at AA I saw that my rounds were striking at a distance greater than my convergence, ie the rounds were scattered and straddled the target. This showed me that I tend to open up further away than I thought, and that my accuracy wasn't actually that bad! By increasing as I have I discovered the added benefit of improved marksmanship!
  8. It'll be a pleasure m8 Dave has offered the same too, we can't have our NA doggy friends left without their bones can we?
  9. Just played the track back, 19+ minutes Was fun though
  10. Well my best attempt is here: http://www.dangerdogz.com/files/mission ... _dd_3.ntrk Don't know how long it took. Bloody ages for sure. Nearly came a cropper getting that last truck! Great fun though
  11. Glenmorangie....my favourite scotch, then there is Laphroaig which is a little more peaty. A wee drop of water helps smooth it out and brings out the taste more too, I used to think it was sacrilege to add water to a fine whisky....but I mellowed in that regard at least!
  12. Guys. If it's true that this is not going to be released there, and you want a copy, let me know and I'll start exporting them Seriously. I can either send to one guy there who distributes, or individually.
  13. Ooops. I seem to have bumped that thread.....
  14. I'm getting thirsty.
  15. Wow. What a treat When in Dublin the back end of last year I sampled Bushmills 'Millenium'. mmmm, and at £30 a glass I made my one glassful last...! 'a hint of whip' Bloody hell Jim, we can't let you get taken anywhere can we!
  16. This is a fun mission. So far I have taken out most of the AA (first task otherwise I end up leaking and falling apart!) and then destroyed 95+% of both rows of AC at either end of the strip. Took out a lot of the other AC at the back of the strip amongst the hangars, At least one convoy now extinct. Weapon of choice? I tried the Mosquito, cannons were pretty good at strafing the lines of planes, and the AA. But the rocket armed Tempest has got to be the one for this Can't wait to have another go!
  17. I've put them as a single zip here: http://www.dangerdogz.com/files/mission ... _3/dd3.zip The individual missions are there too, use the file browser page in http://dangerdogz.com/missions.html to access them
  18. Sorry to hear of your loss. Sounds like he was a real trooper, and 17yrs was a good innings. I lost a 13 yr old GSD last year to hip troubles aggravated by spinal arthritis, carrying her in to the vets was heartbreaking.
  19. Thanks for sharing that Glenn. Amazing story, and for it to come about in that manner Nice poster too
  20. A most impressive display there Jim. I bet getting that last on (you show off you !) was very satisfying especially with no elevators! A well deserved medal S!
  21. It's not quite clear from the above that 'Unfortunately..' applies only to the fish.
  22. Sorry Dave, my bad I wrote the account info down wrong  Sorted now in the other thread By the way, files up to 20Mb can easily be uploaded (one at a time at the moment) by going to the relevant section in the web pages. http://www.dangerdogz.com/screens.html They have changed today btw
  23. Welcome to the 7800 club Glenn. Amazing water effects aren't they! Sounds like you have done about all the testing needed, short of taking hold of the Joystick for a few hours I take it 1024 x 768 is either a personal preference or the limit of your monitor/LCD panel, as the card (7800GTX IIRC) coupled with the rest of your hardware will easily drive 1600 x 1200 :) Mind you, your movies are going to up a nothc or two too!
  24. Me?? Not me sir, I've had me nose stuck in a book: :study: LOL, np m8, my fave is :blob: really appeals to me for some reason! The K9admin account is a shared account that I may try to persuade Sloan or some one to pick up with me. I'd hate to be away and for there to be a problem on the board. So I guess I'll be asking for a volunteer soon!

    Joke

Three tortoises, Mick, Alan and Les, decide to go on a picnic. So Mick packs the picnic basket with beer and sandwiches. The trouble is the picnic site is ten miles away so it takes them ten days to get there. When they get there Mick unpacks the food and beer. "Ok Les Give me the bottle opener." "I didn't bring it," says Les. "I thought you packed it." Mick gets worried, he turns to Alan, "Did you bring the bottle opener??" Naturally Alan didn't bring it. So they're stuck ten miles from home without a bottle opener. Mick and Alan beg Les to go back for it, but he refuses as he says they will eat all the sandwiches. After two hours, and after they have sworn on their tortoise lives that they will not eat the sandwiches, he finally agrees. So Les sets off down the road at a steady pace. Twenty days pass and he still isn't back and Mick and Alan are starving, but a promise is a promise. Another five days and he still isn't back, but a promise is a promise. Finally they can't take it any longer so they take out a Sandwich each, and just as they are about to eat it, Les pops up from behind a rock and shouts........ "I KNEW IT!......I'M NOT F*CKING GOING!"
