  1. The power cable will be identical to the one that feeds power to your DVD/CD drive (and possibly your hard drive if it isn't SATA). You should be able to pick up, if you do not have an existing lead long enough in your case already, an extender (this is what ATI provide). This has a plug on one end and a socket on the other. The installation CD....just go to the ATI site and download the driver package, that is all you need and it will be more up to date than a CD The socket on the card is a molex, usually white. It should be towards the rear of the card (away from where you attach your monitor lead).
  2. Hi and welcome to the K9Squadrons Howling rooms. If you are a recently joined member of either the DD's or HH's then please drop me an email/PM. I can then expedite your membership of the relevant groups that give you access to restricted areas of the forum. Enjoy your stay
  3. All 3 are too young to have their lives destroyed by this. Pint of piss to a gallon of petrol (gas) drink or drugs was involved..
  4. Absolutely nuts:
  5. mmmm. I'll put her harness on any day Not sure I could fly the plane afterwards, there'd be two joysticks
  6. Exactly
  7. It is copy protected, as it is a download it can be purchased anywhere in the world. So I guess we each need to get a copy, and/or keep a separate non-PE2 install until all squad members have it. I copied my installation before installing the patch, and have created a short cut to it on my DT.
  8. And it will be available as a Download News announcement £10 bargain!
  9. Our Propaganda Officer is either over trained, under worked.....or both! Nice one Glenn
  10. You have indeed M8 A cherished memory too
  11. All in a weekend's work: (actually it's just a test of Postimage which is working but very slow Dave ) Before. After, removed the evidence of those scabby bricks. Decca (the Belgian Shepherd Dog) and our Westie Archie coming to admire my handi-work.
  12. Team Speak Overlay (TSO) This has affected three people to my knowledge, so there is potential for others to seek the same guidance. Team Speak Overlay is a utility that displays the callsign of a speaker when using Team Speak, and seems to be increasing in popularity. However be advised it can cause mission/landscape/Map loading errors for some. Easy to determine if it is the cause of your loading faults, disable or unload it and try again. An alternative can be found in Teamspeak Display.
  13. Yep as JP says, heat is first suspect. Check fans and spring clean heatsinks, if it still occurs then post Dxdiag and we'll take a butchers.
  14. Make sure your FB folder isn't read only?
  15. Yahoo! I hope so, fingers crossed my 'to do list' is completed today. Estate Agent (Realtor) coming round to take photos tomorrow so I really have to get a lot done before I can kick back today.
  16. NP Glenn. One step at a time, there are other things we can do M8, but I like to start with a solid foundation
  17. Sounds like DLL corruption or missing. Have you run a check disk recently? If not I suggest you do as a starting point (right click you 'C' drive in explorer -> 'properties' -> 'tools' -> 'Check Now'. Tick both boxes in the pop up dialogue and Click 'Start'. You will then need to restart your PC for it to run.
  18. LOL, it's a good avatar m8.
  19. Windows update can be configured to 'advise' of updates but not download: Control Panel -> Security Center -> Automatic Update Select 'Notify me but don't download updates'. This will then put a yellow shield in your system tray when updates are available. Antivirus, most packages can be configured to do the same. Messenger programs, Yahoo, MSN Gtalk etc. I would sign out and exit those. Often overlooked, some have Disk De-fragmentation programs that will work in the background when they think the system is idle. Disk Keeper seems to regard low disk IO as an indicator of an idle system and will commence a defrag whilst IL2:FB is running.
  20. Canon. 'nuff said Ok may be a little more detail, you are looking for USB 2 and a resolution of around (or better than) 2400 x 4800. Ideally a transparency adapter too so you can scan in the negatives that you will find that have no prints. My father is an ex-RAF photo Eng and was a keen photographer (he went to college with Ken Russell the director of all people ). He bought the CanoScan 9950F which is an excellent bit of kit @ $400US and is impressed with it's performance and results: FARE is excellent as it will 'automagicaly' remove scratches etc. and re-adjust saturation (this is also available on the CanoScan 8400F @ $150US) HP make a good range of scanners too, and Epson could also be considered as they have (or at least used to) unique resolution enhancing technology. But you know Canon quality ;)
  21. I haven't used F6 since I weaned off WW. I'd forgotten about it I could never get on with TIR and WW, :drunken: :pukeleft: :pukeright:
  22. I saw that one too! then remembered that until I flew with the DD's I too flew mostly WW (I rarely if ever fly off-line except for DD challenges) as the servers I was familiar with were WW. I recall feeling very noobish in my first 7 or so on line DFs. I flew pit on blissfully unaware of the fact that there was another way, and marvelled at the scores the other players got. Came close to giving it up, then realised their dark secret
  23. 2 weeks All quiet on that front at the moment...
