  1. Cool I finally won something. Took 100+ attempts (theres dedication/addiction for you - delete as appropriate). A fantastic training mission, teaches ground pounding and sa avoiding enemy AC and AA. Rudder control is a big help too, this mission is a keeper for me as I learnt so much. Looking forward to your next challenge Dave, excellent work m8 S!

    NORTON GHOST

Use either 9 0r 10. Yes you cab install it prior to reformat, back up, then selectively restore after re-installing it. IIRC it uses on-line activation, it can be bought as a download. This then needs to be burnt to a CD from which it will install.

Colin has the Medusa 'phones too. Very nice, good sound and comfy too. The old ATI fan death, so common....
  4. Good idea, post away and I'll either copy the reviews/recommendations to a new sticky thread or tidy this one up You guys are aware that you can create stickies yourselves? And indeed moderate this forum? we are aware of this but are too lazy to do anything about it...in fact I'm dictating this to my secretary to type in... (actually, how do you do it?) When creating a thread you have an option to make a sticky....not to be confused with Saitek adverts... It is one of the choices, along with 'Poll'. You can also edit the first post in a thread, and change it to a sticky that way

  6. Yes please, a worthy addition to my wardrobe  And advice on ergonomics gratefully accepted, I want to appear my best when I get those boots and suspender belt. I'll skip on the panties though, they don't look too comfortable and I really don't want to cramp my style
  7. Is it just me that thinks Frior-One is under some sort of hypnotic spell? I can almost imagine his missus sitting there with a doll-size version of him, a pin and a disturbing fixation on his eyes whenever an image of a hot semi-naked babe pops up on screen.
  8. You use one of those as a button pad?? Sorry, just saw the joystick.....was jealous for a moment then
  9. I did. Thankfully I was sitting down :shaking:
  10. Had the misfortune to listen to this at work with headphones on. Was nearly in the same state....... http://www.metacafe.com/watch/73069/be_quiet/
  11. Jane says 'you've got a whiner then'.... Didn't say when she whined though
  12. I'll take two. One for getting to work and the other for coming home
  13. Had the same with a 9600 card, fan failed. Got worse when I attempted to fit an after market fan, stupidly got brutal(ish) with it and the card never worked again. Think I cracked the GPU pressing the fan locating pins in place....doh!
  14. Very good BG, a classic that'll be!
  15. Three options: Upload them to our server, and link from there, Send them to me and I'll put them on my photobucket account. Or use the in-built in-line image attachment available here (you should see 'Add image to post' just below the area in which you enter text, this will auto thumbnail too
  16. A discussion we will take up in our private section ;) My scruples evaporate when it comes to marketing madness that is intent on depriving our squad of an even playing field
  17. Put it in Essentials, this can be done from the web page.

    hello all

I want photos of young Portugese women in bikinis posted soon or you are OUT of the squadron mate. I'll second that, except I'll be a little less picky any pictures of scantily (if at all) clad young women have a good time m8
  19. Bastards need to be castrated. Then their balls should be ripped off!
  20. 25:37 in Thunderbolt using Bombs (rockets on 2 AA though 'cos I hate 'em). Bombs are so last year............ http://www.k9squadrons.com/files/tracks/rog_bomb.ntrk Uploading will take 20 odd mins after time of this post.
  21. The X52 will use the programming software, and it is worth getting your head round using it and programming it - or at the very least getting a copy of Tully's profile I think you will need to install the drivers. What colour lampshade did you get for it? lol
  22. I think stability wise they are about the same. MC however may have more processes and drivers running/loaded that use precious RAM and cpu cycles. Building your own is not that hard, and need not be particularly time consuming either, although I have seen it is cheaper to buy like for like from a box shifter as opposed to buying in component form. Sorry to hear it didn't work out Glenn, and hoping you get shipping refunded too.

    rts.dll Link

Hi M8. In the main FB folder (typically C:\Program Files\Ubi Soft\IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles) there is an rts.dll. Rename that to rts.dll.old and then copy the one linked above into the same folder. This then negates the need to have the CD in the drive, no performance boost but that precious CD can be kept safe. And you don't have to remember to put it in. Steve_v won't allow linking to it as a 'no cd' fix, but it's OK if you get an rts.dll error..... Renaming it as I said above means you can readily revert by deleting the replacement and renaming rts.dll.old to rts.dll
  24. hehehe, welcome to insanityville
  25. Because UBI can't find it's arse with either hand, and now has at least four variants of the rts.dll file posted, I'm linking direct to the rts.dll here. This is the one that precludes the requirement to have the CD in the drive to run FB. Get it Here.
