1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted February 10, 2012 1. DDz Quorum Posted February 10, 2012 A feller named 'Drayu - The Dude' has got a page dedicated to IL-2, on the War is Hell gaming website. http://www.warishellgaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25841 There's a link in bolded red, 'CLICK HERE', it takes you to http://www.drayu.com/il2/, and there is a file named coop.rar. 65Mb of IL2 missions. Many of them are already in our 'base' of coops that should be somewhere in the vault, there's also some extra ones. I'm still working on a selection of 'good fun enough' coops... that's kinda difficult, as a big part of the fun is not knowing what is next, what will happen next, but one can only really judge a mission as being good fun, after one has run it. After that, one knows what will happen, and that takes out a big part of the fun. One way to reduce that risk is in having numbers, large numbers of missions. Currently, I got 2103 Coop missions for IL-2, though thre might be some doubles in there. Might also need to cleanup in a different way, as when I check for flying distance, some 680 missions have waypoints taking red and blue for a flight of over 120km's.... 18 missions with only one human player, hm, maybe those should not to be called coops ... lol Yeah, I'm rambling now... DD_Brando Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Thanks for the link FT. I also found that I already have most of them - but there are a few that are new to me. Recently I've been re-flying Eric Cotes' incredible series of missions based on the Eastern front. Published under the name DR-Hangar (back when the Diables Rouge flew regularly in Hyperlobby) they're all good; and even better in the latest versions of the game. (4.11m, or HSFX 5.01). The usual line-up back then was 16 'live' seats - but with the newer planes now flyable (such as the Pe-2/3) the available seats are increased to about 24. So, if you want to go back to when Catwoman was a regular in HL I can really recommend the whole series. B Quote
1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted February 10, 2012 Author 1. DDz Quorum Posted February 10, 2012 Thanks B, yes those 'hanger' missions set are quite good! I do host some of 'm quite regularly (in my set they are in folders named 'Kuban IL2-Hanger', 'Citadelle IL2-Hanger;'... I assume those are the ones you are referring to?) Quote
DD_Brando Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 Yes, they are the ones. 13 sets altogether, from Bagration through to Stalingrad. An epic effort. Quote
BadAim Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I like the 'Hangar' ones a lot too. Good stuff. I wish there was a way to get IL2 to read "nested" folders, that would make it so much easier to organize the missions for flight nights. Quote
