Flyboy583 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I found this document on the net yesterday, now I am sure you all know about this, but just in case somebody did not I though I would share it!! It is a 174 page "book" about air to air combat fighting for the virtual pilot! From what I have read so far it is seems to be a great little find!!! Link to the book http://dangerdogz.com/forums/files/file/562-in-pursuit-a-pilot%E2%80%99s-guide-to-online-air-combat/ If you want to buy the hard back, here is the link https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pursuit-Pilots-Guide-Online-Combat/dp/9197607703/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1317273818&sr=8-1 Quote

Flyboy583 Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 Hehe ... Oldtimer, I fear when I join you all for the first time, I'll be nothing but cannon fodder!!! Lol Quote
Kira Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 Agree to all of the above. I even have it in my sig over at Ubi forum; I think it's that important for people to know. (Or in my case "know", as it all goes out the window with the first sighting of an e/a...) Quote
Flyboy583 Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 I am really enjoying this book I have to admit having this much discipline in a virtual fighting situation will be difficult, but as with everything, if you want to improve and become more skillful in your craft then practice, practice, practice... Looks like I will be going back to basics and act as somebodies wing man for the first month or so.. then I feel some high altitude stalking with some "boom & zoom" tactics lol lol Quote
2. Administrators fruitbat Posted October 4, 2011 2. Administrators Posted October 4, 2011 the quickest way to improve is to fly with people. You can know all that stuff off by heart, but its one thing knowing it, and another completly in how when and where to apply that knowledge. Practising against the ai won't cut it for much more than gunnery practise imo. Seriously, just jump online with us, you'll learn much quicker. Quote
