Jediteo Posted December 20, 2010 Share Posted December 20, 2010 If anyone is interested, there is a lunar eclipse tonight, best seen from the North American east coast, but can be seen in parts of europe and the west coast. I strongly suggest you take a look. Its greatest intensity will be at 8.16 UTC(GMT) (on the 21st) , that is about will be the most intense (in the umbra) at 3.17 EST (UTC-5) or 12.17 PST (UTC- (tonight the 20th). At that time of the day everything will be red Seriously though, I may get the family up to see this as it is quite an event. Winter Solstice and alignment with centre of Milky Way or so I have read.
